Same old tune, but we took far too long 'negotiating', now he's been stolen from us. Again. What type of club are we if we can't wrap up a deal in 22 days for our major target? So frustrating. Annoying thing is, we had a fee agreed, apparently, but then Salah's agent said to Ayre he really wants to join us, so then Ayre came in with a lower offer, and they said to get to ****.

A winger shouldn't be our priority, but clearly he was our main target, and now we've wasted 22 days. What a shambles.

Same thing we did with PSG and lost Ronaldinho to Barca for lesser price than our bid. ******* Kenyon.

The joys of football ey?

The ever reliable Di Marzio confirms Salah to Chelsea is close. Offered 3mil euros more than us + bonuses... This window could become very worrying, very quickly

23 days COMPLETELY wasted in a window we need to buy if we want to finish in the top four, and everything the owners are saying is that we have limited funding.

Wonder if we're still interested in Alberto Moreno.

Our top priority is obviously a DM. If we fail to sign one, we are in big trouble

We have money, but they will only get a player at a price they believe he is worth... we've seen it with so many players since FSG were appointed.

They decide on a fee and dont budge. If a deal happens it's happened on our terms, and if not he moves elsewhere... can see why they do it, but sometimes you have to overspend a little (although im not too sure on Salah signing)

We do need a DM and a LB, but we wont be in big trouble if we dont sign one... we are still 4th, and have had very encouraging displays against City and Chelsea away with 7 out of the top 8 still to come to Anfield

Signings would boost us, but none would certainly not ruin us, its about the right players coming in for the right prices

i agree on this, the team still doing a good performance with it current players, not signing additional players wont make much difference .

Rodgers has confirmed Johnson is out 'indefinitely' with a series of injuries he has been suffering with most the season...

Although a few are close to coming back, thats; Enrique, Sakho, Agger, Flanagan and Johnson out injured... thats at least 3 of the first choice back 4... any team will struggle for consistency at the back with that injury list

Guzan does really well to pull his hands away, but unfortunately ref cant see the reverse angle.

Yes. Did well to pull his hands out the way and still catch him. Good effort I say.

Salah going to Chelsea, according to FC Basel's twitter.

Liverpool need to look at a different approach to transfers because this is getting ridiculous.

At the risk of sounding like a bitter fan, in terms of football development it's a bad move for Salah, don't blame him though.
Likely to end up on the bench and eventually vanishing into the squad once Chelsea buy some more attacking midfielders.

Unless the club is doing things on the sly it looks to be a very boring window, which is sadly quite worrying considering the squad does need quality depth.

Also on Johnson he needs an operation on his knee, scouse cafu is set to return.

Thats quite funny...

Funny? Don't know about that. True? Yes.

I would've rather seen Salah playing for Liverpool than most likely occupying Mata spot at Chelsea which is bench. You couldn't get Salah from Basel so getting Shaqiri from Bayern is impossible.

If we truly wanted Salah it would have been weeks ago, we didnt think he was worth the price Basle wanted and Chelsea outbid us

If we believed Shaqiri was worth what Bayern wanted, we would have a very good chance. He doesn't play much and may want regular football

FSG are stubborn with prices. we set one and dont budge, it either works EG Coutinho, but more so it doesn't.. Willian, Mkhitaryan, Dempsey, Salah ETC
