Also if being in too many competitions is a problem for Chelsea, its probably because your mastermind of a manager loaned out his best striker and sold bunch of quality players in middle of the season.

Never said it was a problem. But you can't deny that being involved in one more competition does have an effect on the fitness and concentration of players. Not that anyone is going to use it as an excuse if Chelsea lose the title

Oh and the mastermind of a manager in your words has won more trophies than Rodgers will win in a lifetime. In fact, Rodgers said that he would never have reached the position that he is in without Mourinho. Just saying

Seriously. There's a Chelsea thread. Publicly hug your Jose plushies in there, please.

It's just so ridiculous seeing so much revisionism. Liverpool were not largely tipped for the top 4, even by the most die hard of them. No one even mentioned the title.

Just because they were not tipped doesn't mean they don't have the ability ...

I don't even know what this argument is about. Chelsea fans trying to claim they were never in contention for the title, but Liverpool were? Is that it? I've just been clicking through pages of bollocks and ignoring any post with the words "Jose", "horse" or "strikers".

Stating the obvious but beating Chelsea would basically hand us the league now... It would make us 5 clear of Chelsea and at least 3 clear of City

Like people have said though, Palace away is an extremely hard game but Newcastle and Norwich im very confident about!

Mignolet
Glen - Skrtel - Sakho - Flan
Gerrard
Lucas - Allen
Sterling - Suarez - Coutinho

seems most likely with Henderson and Sturridge out of the game

Despite the fact that Chelsea finished 3rd last season, we still finished some way off the top. We were never in the title race at all last season tbh. I just don't understand why you have a different set of criteria for Mourinho and then another for Rodgers. If you criticize Mourinho for being pessimistic despite being near the top all season then why don't you criticize Rodgers as well? Still waiting for a response. YNWA

Congratulations for completely missing the point.

Chelsea have led the league for the past 2, maybe 3 months, the whole time your manager has been writing his team off, using metaphors about, well just about anything to confuse and (apparently) amuse us. Now suddenly Liverpool are top (who, btw have sat happily in 4th for the past two months), and now we are leading it's because we don't have European football or because our players are big horses or something..

This is the first time in a long time I can look at our Liverpool team and think we can actually go on to win this. Partially thanks to Arsenal imploding, Man City being preoccupied with cups & Chelsea competing in some fantasy league where being top makes you the underdogs, but mostly it's been down to our players playing some incredible football. We may win the league, we may not, but Rodgers' has done something amazing and you can't take that away from him.

I realise that argueing with Chelsea fans is like flogging a dead horse [ ;) ] but if you can't see how well Liverpool are doing considering our past league positions, our squad, & the teams we're competing with then you're an incredibly bitter person.

Such a shame, really could have done with Henderson against Norwich, Lucas doesn't really exert the same sort of energy. I have a feeling we might bring in Moses or Aspas to replace Sturridge, at this stage in the season we need to go out to win and replacing Sturridge with Lucas or Allen is a negative move, imo.

Hahaha one of the most funniest clips from the US office!

And then there were two...... What a game this is going to be!

If you ask Jose they'd be only one.

Everyone has been talking about how big this summer is going to be for United. But no one has mentioned how big it is going to be for Liverpool if they want to stay in the Champions League for multiple seasons they need to seriously strengthen the squad.

This season it's been perfect due to focusing mainly on just one competition, whole different kettle o'fish when you're playing in Europe.

Not taking anything away from Liverpool by the way, just merely pointing out it's a huge summer for you guys as well. That's why I hope both Man City and Barca have transfer bans it would help us out greatly ;)

It is a big summer, and because of the Champions League qualification we will have more money and more pulling power in transfers. it will make it alot easier to attract players than in previous windows

BUT, knowing we have Europe we wont send as many players out on loan... The likes of Borini, Ilori, Reina, Suso, Wisdom, Robinson, Assaidi would either be kept or sold to fund new arrivals

Liverpool have hugely overachieved, whatever happens. That it feels like their natural level is testament to Rodgers.

Wait wait wait ... Liverpool isn't considered even a top 4 contender despite the fact that nearly every other top team had a change of manager. Despite the fact that they have some world-class players such as Suarez and Sturridge. Despite the fact that you have a great manager in Rodgers who already has had one season to implement his blueprint.

Yes.

Of course its not a problem. If it were a problem you would have to admit its a problem of Mourinho's making. Instead, its apparently an objective difficulty that doomed upon your club out of nowhere, catching everybody by surprise.

This just shows how remarkable Rodgers has done, and despite us being in the top 4 for the majority of the season the likelihood of us maintaining such form has never been seen in the Premier League era
