I think it will be a very poor signing, but look at what Rodgers has done with Sturridge... There is always hope haha

Difference is though that Sturridge had talent, he just wasn't given a proper run at centre-forward by Chelsea. Betrand doesn't have that much talent or potential. Very average player tbh ... Not CL standard yet at least

Rodgers has obviously seen something, I'm not sure what, but judging by what he has done with some players this year i have no doubt Bertrand will improve no end

All three want to be the focal point of attack, and rightly so. However, all three can't be the focal point. Not to mention, clash of egos. Has more potential to mess up than any other line-up I've seen recently.

That's exactly why Pedro is so important for Barca, he gives that balance. Not sure Suarez would work great there. Would like to be proved wrong though

I still think we'll sign either Rojo or Moreno for the LB spot... Bertrand would be absolutely terrible

He did pretty badly for Villa this year, admittedly in a shitshow of a defence. He's talented, but how talented?

Barcelona have been tweeting about Suarez like he is already a barca player.

No change there then, lest we forget the Fabregas saga.

Ironic, considering he played in the CL final.

It seems more people are now reporting Alexis Sanchez does not want to join Liverpool and prefers a move to Arsenal

Suarez deal was impacted heavily by Sanchez inclusion as Barcelona don't want to pay anymore than £60mil

The only press that said anything about Sanchez involved in the Suarez deal has been British. Spanish all said he preferred Arsenal over Liverpool for the past week. One (not sure which off the top of my head) even said he flat out refused to negotiate with Liverpool.

Im not saying he was involved, i'm saying Liverpool insisted he was involved or they pay the release clause

Shaqiri reportedly to choose between Liverpool or a new contract at Bayern.

why so low if bale can go for 85 why is suarez not more after the season he has just had

Its not really low, and you cant judge it on Bale. It's like judging every defender on David Luiz 50m

It was Madrid and PSG paying way over the odds. 80m is a fair price

i get that just thought it would be a lot more seeing how class he is

Rumours say Suarez is defo a Barca player and BR could be interested in Balotelli.

Oh how I love Transfer Window lol.

Bale was 23 when he moved. Suarez is 27 years old: in his prime, but he only has maybe four years left at that level.

Think its a matter of when than if for Suarez.... very much doubt the Balotelli link though

Slightly unrelated but can you tell that to Mike who reckons United would get six years left at Vidal performing top level, he's 27 as well.

They're playing two different roles though.
I'm pretty sure that midfielders have an easier time keeping up the performances at "old" age than strikers.
