Liverpool fans and Palace fans treat bad players very differently. Glen Johnson is a figure of near-hate on Merseyside, whereas Calvin Andrew became something of a hero at Palace. :P

Not sure either approach is perfect, mind. As much as telling Glen Johnson he's **** must effect him, there's no telling how much we messed with Andrew's mind by vociferously applauding every missed open goal...

You could see today one of the issues we have at the back with Skrtel playing. He refuses to push up at times and just backs off deeper and deeper. Lovren was telling him to push up and Moreno pushed up with him, Skrtel sad deeper again and Johnson had to drop back with him.


Poor communication and poor positional play at the back.
 
I haven't watched the game so I'm not sure how he was today but I'm starting to think it's about time we stopped playing Gerrard in DM. He offers no protection to our defense.

Also, there's a very good reason that Johnson gets a lot of hate. He can't defend and he offers nothing to the team going forward. He has no end product. I would much prefer Flanagan or Manquillo.
 
We'll bounce back from today, We got taught a lesson by the Champions, we gave the ball away silly and made a few dumb mistakes but it's early on and this result doesn't faze me about our expectations of top 4.
 
Of course we will bounce back, we made a lot of changes and it take time to blend in plus its very early.

I am afraid we have to find a new role for the captain. With the ball at his feet he is more than excellent but defensively i think he cant cope.With the side backs going so match forward we need o solid dm to cover them. Especially with the strong teems its more than obvious.

Yeah I agree, they haven't replacedbig players they have lost too, guessing they were waiting to see if they got through and its backfired, not sure on this coach either don't know too much about him. I think the Scottish firsst division is more competitive then the top league what with Rangers, Hibs and Hearts and few others. Scottish game is ****** though has been for years

It isn't just the Liverpool fans who are criticising Johnson though. It is literally everyone. Every single ******* person is taking the **** out of him. All I've seen is memes about Johnson from every supporter out there.
