Have had a request not to use this term. Personally, i did not know the history here, and still think the reasons laid out are a little sketchy, but there are plenty of other names that can be used to express ones dislike of Manchester United, so feel free to use them instead.

Hmmm. That seems a little incomplete. Pretty sure nobody uses the word to mean that IMO, much as I think it's just as childish as going "hurrdurr Man Shity amirite" or 'Chel$ea'.

Although if you're trying to ban it on grounds of 'people who use it are ******* stupid and should be shot regardless of connotations' I am totally for it.

I honestly did not know of any such link to the use of the term, but a member has expressed concern about the use, so felt it best to politely ask for restraint.

For me the hole problem for the team is at defense.Rodger need to find a suitable partner for lovren between sakho and skrtel and fast.Also Stevie cant play as an Dm with our style of play and maybe he should try Lucas there.If we can adjust the defense there is plenty of talent in front to make a deference.Also then we can tell if we need a solution in the keeper position.

Just because someone is ignorant doesn't make it right to use it. I have no problems if you call United scum or whatever. As long as it's not Manure. How would Liverpool fan feel if someone mock Hillsborough disaster? Because thats what he did for using that.

Surely it would more make sense to ban terms like that in the relevant threads rather than as a blanket measure?

i think you are right in most of what you say, having gerrard there doesnt seem effective this year, we are losing an extra player in defence and we are not getting anything in attacking. I mean his long crosses are good but when you are losing from the 2n minute the rival is normally having his lines low and you don't have many chances for counter attacks with gerrard's fast and accuratte passes, let's hope we will get back soon cause the fight for UCL positions will be tough, Man untd arsenal Liverpool and why not tottenham and everton...

The hole Gerrard organize play from the back was working last year very well. Now that villa had angolahor marking him and west ham had downing doing the same job Stevie cant do it any more and he can't mark as an dm should. So Rodgers must understand it an move on.

Well we have been pretty terrible for most games this season but with United, Tottenham and potentially City dtopping points at least we are not playing catch up at the moment

To be honest I have already counted out getting anywhere near Chelsea, even before the start of the season

Well first of all; the insulting word I've used has no connection what-so-ever with what you're accusing. And secondly; I'd brush it off my shoulder. I've seen more than enough hillsborough insults to still be reacting to them.

You didn't receive an infraction. You received a warning with zero infraction points, i chose this method to ensure you saw the post i made, that is all. I said myself that i feel the background of the term seems a little sketchy, but decided to err on the side of caution with what can be a sensitive subject. Just as i have done with regard to Hillsborough related posts in the past.

Feel free to post pictures of animal excrement, i couldn't care less.
