Sky Sports showing the stats now it's like I'm playing ******* FM. Frustrating but a good performance. Thought I saw Suarez back when Sterling turned and stuck that in.



I thought he was fantastic. Penalty was clumsy and he'll learn from it but not bad for a central midfielder.

Was ok but agree that will be miles better CM.

I disagree regarding Can - i find the criticism very strange. It was a clumsy challenge but one that veteran centre halves have made.. he was very solid and has been the past month in the same position

It was not the challenge it was getting beat in the build up easy and caught out of possition few times. Will get found out against good players just like Carrick.

I agree he made two mistakes, Fabregas challenge and the penalty but it seems a desperate case against him for some unknown reason

I have nothing against him and hink he is good just not a CB.

Opinions i suppose - I just don't think there is a coincidence in the fact we have the best defensive record since the new year and that coincides with the inclusion of Can and Sakho

This is another misinterpretation i don't understand! He looks gangly and horrible but is very good on the ball

Can't remember cos I'm falling asleep but he did a brilliant switch of play in one of our recent games. It was gerrard-worthy. Think it might have been in the FA Cup game.

Sakho and Lovren are both good ball playing defenders. I put it down to Liverpool fans being spoiled by Daniel Agger, who was probably technical enough to play in midfield if he wanted.

His passing percentage is lesser than Smalling and Smalling plays around 1.3 times more long balls than Sakho. Any professional player can pass 5 yards simple pass or even 20-25 yards long ball accurately when given time. It's how they pass and retain possession when pressed matters.

Difference with Smalling is that his passes are hopeful, aimless punts, not accurate measured passes. Also United defenders will have passing stats higher because most of our play revolves around passing backwards and sideways in our own half. Liverpool are getting their confidence and style back. Pace, players working with and around each other, forward thinking decisions. Sturridge back and they can go on a serious run.
