i doubt chelsea were even interested in him till liverpool where, mourinho complaining about FFP he didnt seem to mind when he first took over and bought every man and his dog

Right I wonder why Chelsea even keep a scouting department/network. After all our transfer strategy seems to consist of waiting for a player to be linked to Liverpool and then buying him according to you

Salah came to Chelsea's attention after his exploits against us in the CL. When Mata left, he was available at a decent price and was quickly snapped up. Obviously the fact that Liverpool can't get any transfer done quickly helped Chelsea. That's the story. You can choose to believe it or not

Complaining about FFP? I don't see him complaining. He is merely making a point that Chelsea can't go on extravagant spending spree's like before due to FFP constraints. Previously he could because their was no FFP. Do I need to dumb it down for you further?

Did anyone listen to City Talk last yesterday? One guy claiming Chelsea actually sung more songs that weren't about Chelsea than songs that were about Chelsea. Someone should re-watch the match and keep count.

What a shame!

I completely understand fan 'banter' and rivalries with songs although the Gerrard slip is the most hypocritical thing going.

The fact that the slip didn't help them in the league and City won it anyway AND that their own captain slipped to directly cost them winning the Champions League not that long ago - its baffling

It's fair enough we chant it against Liverpool, but it annoys me when we chant it against the likes of Palace etc when it's just completely irrelevant.

Ive even heard teams' fans who had nothing to do with it this season chant about the slip

i do admit the song was funny at first an is clever its just got so old now its boring and no matter what gerrard says you just know that it does get to him when he is hearing it sung at different grounds all over the country

It's stupid as ****, but the average football fan thinks it's hilarious and will drive any semblance of a joke about it into the ******* ground.

When we played you some fans started up the song and then got drowned out by the fanatics. It's the only way to respond, unfortunately.

hypocrite??, it was a joke as alot of chelsea fans are glory hunters

LOL GOOD JOKE PAL IT'S ONLY A DECADE OLD

wow a decade really omg.. i dont care how old it is

Sterling contract update from BR
"Obviously the club are speaking with his representatives on it," reported the boss. "I would think that will be concluded very imminently.
"You can see he's very happy, it's nothing to do with Raheem - he wants to be here. Hopefully we'll get a solution on that very soon."

Does that sound a bit snotty towards his agents or is it just me?

Some top notch banter going on.

Over a decade, in fact. It got boring about a week in, too.

Ha, sounds like a bit of a veiled insult. With Sterling's recent form I wouldn't be surprised to see the agents kicking up a fuss.

boring for some maybe

Wow! How embarrassing from yourself.

The game against us was the start of the slide, i think mentally after that game you was done. And the reason its not so hypocritical is because Terry later went on to win Z trophy Gerrard never will (unless he goes on loan to Man City next season)!!!!!!! ;)

It's fair enough we chant it against Liverpool, but it annoys me when we chant it against the likes of Palace etc when it's just completely irrelevant.

Agree with that, but then its a double edged sword isn't it. We and Jose all want a better atmosphere so should there be songs we can only sing in certain matches?

Ive even heard teams' fans who had nothing to do with it this season chant about the slip

I personally like this just because it proves that it was all the media last season who were saying "Liverpool the fans choice to win the league". We all knew it was back then and this proves it. Just think its one of them things, its a stick to beat down an opponent and they will use it.
