I know I've said this before, but who the **** do you even bring in if you get rid of Rodgers now? This is realistically speaking, please no one mention Klopp as it's extremely unlikely and he has already had far more attractive offers than Liverpool whilst maintaining he is staying on his sabbatical. (Not a dig just true).
Forget about the best manager/coaches out there, the emphasis should be on who is right for lfc. No point in appointing someone who wont be able to work with the players we have. Otherwise we’ll get another transitional period of more new signings etc...

I can't see FSG getting rid of BR any time soon. If the rumours are true that they're looking to sell up then they won't be bothered about short-term performance and why would they pay off Rodgers to sack him when they're selling up the club anyway.

There's a little tiny part of me hoping that Klopp sees some comparison in the passion at our clubs fans as there was at Dortmunds. Hopefully he hasn't actually seen or been to Anfield in the premier league in recent seasons as he'll quickly realise our support is so quiet at home these days..

We can dream.

He moved his ankle as mig was stepping over him... You can see kolo's foot move in the same direction as mig is moving.
As he puts his foot down, he feels it and stays on tip toes as much as possible.

By 9am tomorrow, The Sun will be reporting a pre match bust up, 2 cases of adultery and that Mignolet actually shot Kolo in the face with a shotgun loaded with balls of his own *****.

I think Mingnolet had been cheating on his wife with 2 women before the game. Kolo was going to grass him up to his Mrs so he shot Kolo in the face with a shotgun loaded with balls of his own *****.

Something like that anyway mate, read it in The Sun this morning

Well it was from The Sun mate, can't expect them to get details right ;)

What are you doing reading that piece of filth produced by the fascist murdoch, I wouldnt even spit on him if he was on fire.

Guess you missed the joke mate ;)

Unless things get drastically worse, Rodgers is not leaving anytime soon.

FSG have just handed him more responsibility in the transfer market and gave him a new backroom team - Not to mention he is a real favourite of the main FSG representative of the club, Mike Gordon.

It's been poor performance wise, but the fact the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea are all still around us will give him a little respite

Everyone seems convinced he's safe until at least Chrimbo but I'm honestly not sure. They've shown how ruthless they can be with how they treated Kenny. The next 4 or 5 games could be the tipping point. We continue this woeful league form and look as bad at Godison and Tottenham as we did at Utd, with maybe a league cup shock in there (the club aren't arsed about the Europa which staggers me but is what it is); then I could see them reacting. By all accounts Henry was all for a change last Christmas until Ayre talked him out if it. (Didn't agree then with a change FWIW just 7 months removed from 2nd.). Can't see him letting similar roll again.

Hopefully it turns and doesn't come to that but I just can't see much of any positives to suggest it will.

I definitely know where you're coming from - Hopefully in the next few weeks it picks up a little more because there were positive signs yesterday

Meanwhile with all the snob way that we are treating the Europa league our coefficient is getting to a dangerous point.

It's been discussed in here quite a lot but it really frustrates me.

You have most teams in the Europa League tossing it off, whilst our sides in the Champions League struggle ... England with three spots will be very dangerous for sides like us and even Arsenal

Interesting that Favre has resigned at Gladbach after losing their 5 opening games or something. 5 games. After they finished 3rd last season, which was way above expectations. Rodgers hasn't lost 5 in a row, but it goes to show how quickly things can change for a manager

Considering the fact they lost Hazard, Kruse and Kramer this summer it is very harsh indeed

Exactly, though I think Hazard still plays for them? He resigned though, he wasn't sacked, I'm surprised that that was all it took after almost 5 years in charge of them

Sick of hearing this too much in recent times. "At least so and so are playing poorly as well".

No. **** that. We should be taking advantage of it and not being thankful of other teams failures.

****, he had them playing excellent football on shoe string budget. Bit premature for him to just call it quits after only 5 games maybe theirs something going on behind the scenes. I would certainly love him at anfield.

Completely agree we should be taking advantage of it - But the point still stands regardless

Our woeful, pathetic, 'worst team in years' is still around nearly all our main rivals despite us playing terribly for the majority of the season so far

It's 6 games in, if we weren't "around" our rivals we'd be at the bottom of the table. Which, by the way, is not too far from the truth. We're 7 points behind City, 5 points behind United, 2 points behind Arsenal. The only reason we're in front of Chelsea is because they've had a horrendous start to the season. Even Spurs, who have impressed no one, are a point ahead.

So in my opinion, your "point" doesn't stand at all. Let's see if those 7, 5, and 2 points have increased or decreased at the 10 matches played mark. Where would you put your money?

So the only side in front of us by quite a margin that we would have targeted pre-season is Man Utd?

It's so early that a win at the weekend with a few results going for us moves us above the majority of our rivals - All I am saying is that some of the reactions have been OTT considering it is so early and other teams have been struggling alongside us.

I understand what your saying but its a long season and they do say its a marathon, meaning that unless performances improve we wont pick up points playing awful every week. Proven by our start to the season were we won our first 3 games despite playing poor and being helped by dodgy ref decisions. Say we win this week and our rivals drop points and we leapfrog them it would mean diddly squat because we could lose the week after and drop below them again. All about consistancy and we unfortunately dont have that. The match against Norwich was a step in the right directions and may it continue.
