ILONG time since we've had a serious contender for best manager in the league. Which with Mourinho on the slide, he most certainly is. Only Wenger for longevity and what he's done at Arsenal you'd put above him. Maybe going back to Kenny's first go-around? Rafa still had Ferguson and Mourinho.

Mate Mourinho has had three bad months which doesn't negate more than a decade of success which is 10x more than what Klopp has achieved till this point. Even Van Gaal has achieved far more than Klopp although it can be argued that his golden years were some way back

Some might reasonably argue that Wenger merits a discussion as well as you yourself concede

Either way it's extremely premature to call Klopp the best manager in the league considering he won one EPL game against a Chelsea side undergoing the worst start to a season in decades

I said he's up there in the discussion. Don't misunderstand me Alcarez. Jose is still one of the best three managers in World football. That's not open to debate.

All I was saying that as we currently talk, with his stock well sliding, you could make a strong case for Wenger or Klopp as the top two in England currently. Pelegrini's well under performed for me given the resources at his disposal. Not least in Europe. And I've never gotten the LVG thing. He had the one European Cup with Ajax and no title for what, 5/ 6 years?

Just looking forward to a time when we have the players to match which we most certainly don't at present.

Let's put it this way, you wouldn't swap any of the others for Klopp. Wenger is too entrenched in Arsenal to go anywhere else and be a success at this stage. And Jose is Jose who just has too much downside in his attitude to the success he brings.

To be fair Scouse, Klopp had a season start like Jose (this year) for Dortmund where everything went wrong for a while.

You know what really worries me? The prospect of Pep following Wenger. Arsenal is just made for him IMHO. Utd demand all out attacking wing play which just isn't his style. Don't see him fitting there. And I'm not sure Roman would have the oaitiemce to let him build the club right through. But Arsenals just ready for him.

i hope to heck he doesn't wind up there personally.

Pep will probably end up at City in the summer if Pellegrini fails in Europe.

Indeed. Too early to make these sort of judgements yet. I would personally wait till the end of the season and then take stock of the situation

Sorry but I don't see how you can say any of that when Klopp has just entered English football. He has only won 1 EPL game so far so it's a bit early before we start saying he is the best manager in the league. Let's wait till the end of the season before making these sort of judgements

All subjective but he's in the discussion and the chances are other clubs wouldn't take anyone here before him outside of Mourinho. And that's a stretch given his attitude since his return.

That in itself is something we've not had since probably Kenny's first go around.

I can live with that. Be great to see him and Klopp pushing each other again. But Pep at Arsenal really scares me more than anywhere.

Rather Lucas for Allen and Coutinho/ Lallana for Milner but a very strong side as it should be.

Let's do this and put this group to bed with a Sion victory the other game.

SO envious so help me looking at those pictures in a great looking ground. This would of been a boss trip to be on. Sighs.

Milner looks a little unhappy playing on the flanks but **** him. This isn't Rodgers and he isn't the star player he think he is.

Absolutely. Anything promised under the previous manager is long gone. All bets are off now and you play where your told and give everything or you won't be here. Simple as.

Just need the breakthrough here.

Pitch looks ****. Btw, did anyone see that Kazan player spitting on his own shoulder? I lol'd.

He should be happy he's playing at all. He's been weak yet again.

Without creating many clear cut chances, that was the best away display in Europe for many a year. Another step forward and the diffrence the longer they work together is more and more noticeable.

Keep it going reds second half.

0-0 the other game.

GET IN IBE LAD!

No less than he or we deserve. What a difference Jordan has looked the last few weeks now he's being allowed to play his natural game and attack instead of having his confidence destroyed as a wingback playing backwards. But we know what a talent he is already.

Keep it going Redmen.
