Mate Mourinho has had three bad months which doesn't negate more than a decade of success which is 10x more than what Klopp has achieved till this point. Even Van Gaal has achieved far more than Klopp although it can be argued that his golden years were some way back

Some might reasonably argue that Wenger merits a discussion as well as you yourself concede

Either way it's extremely premature to call Klopp the best manager in the league considering he won one EPL game against a Chelsea side undergoing the worst start to a season in decades

Silly argument to compare them. We will never know unless Klopp goes to Real Madrid or Barca and we can see if his time there would be a failure as well.

Michael Owen "just because there is contact doesn't mean it is a penalty" while blood starts pouring down Can's calf. Silly inbred ****.

Pitch looks ****. Btw, did anyone see that Kazan player spitting on his own shoulder? I lol'd.

He should be happy he's playing at all. He's been weak yet again.

Yeah he is absolutely **** poor as usual.

But I wasn't the one actively comparing them and claiming one was better than the other?

First victory in an away game in Europe after three years. Seriously? Bravo Mr Rodgers.

Just 1 point behind the top of the group with 2 matches left. A very good result, the first English team to get any points from Kazan, and we even got all 3 of them.

Away wins in Russia and at Stamford Bridge, unbeaten under Klopp and performances improving

Happy days!

Neither was I unless you're being a complete *** over it.

Oh, wait, I did say there was no question Jose was one of the best three managers in World football so my bad. You're right. I actually did say one was better than the other. ;).

Excellent display. The best and most enjoyable European away game for a LONG time. 6 games in and improvement in every one. Can't ask for any better than that.

And Sion have drawn 1-1 with Bordeaux so not only was it a big step toward qualification, winning the group is now back on!

Great nights work.

All subjective but he's in the discussion and the chances are other clubs wouldn't take anyone here before him outside of Mourinho. And that's a stretch given his attitude since his return.

That in itself is something we've not had since probably Kenny's first go around.

Guardiola, they would all take Guardiola. United, City and Chelsea have all tried.

Was on about managers in England.

Outside of Mourinho, Guardiola's probably the best coach currently working. Ancelotti would make up that three for me but that's subjective as folk have issues with his lack of league titles. Even though he's won the biggest of the lot three times.

I'd take Ancellotti over Klopp personally, but it's hardly the worst decision to have in the world.

That said, I see what Alcaraz means about giving him time before calling him one of the best.

Scouse said he's one of the best managers in the league. He didn't compare.

Let's put it this way, you wouldn't swap any of the others for Klopp. Wenger is too entrenched in Arsenal to go anywhere else and be a success at this stage. And Jose is Jose who just has too much downside in his attitude to the success he brings.

LONG time since we've had a serious contender for best manager in the league. Which with Mourinho on the slide, he most certainly is. Only Wenger for longevity and what he's done at Arsenal you'd put above him. Maybe going back to Kenny's first go-around? Rafa still had Ferguson and Mourinho.

I am not even sure what Scouse's point is because you can see he did heavily imply that Klopp was the best manager in the league whereas I don't necessarily disagree with him completely but just find it prudent to wait until the end of the season before casting judgement considering Klopp has just arrived and has only gained success in one league whereas LVG and Jose have won in multiple leagues

"Mamadou Sakho vs. Rubin Kazan: 88/96 passes completed 5 clearances 100% (3/3) headers won Beast"

Just saw this on twitter Sakho is fast becoming one of my favs, potential Cult hero?.

And to think Lovren was favoured over him the start the year.

I presume we're both of the same thinking that Utd are going to make a serious play for Guardiola this summer? Even if it means waiting out the last year of Van Gaal's contract.

I'm kind of split on how I feel on that one. Not sure if he's the right fit for what Utd fans expect. But then trophy's would quickly fuel that. And of course I don't want to see you back winning the major prizes but the flip side is how great would not be to have Pep and Klopp pushing each other again from either end of the East Lancs?

Stat of the day:

Jurgen Klopp has won one game in Europe with Liverpool within three weeks.

Everton have won 6 games in Europe the past 46 years!

Pep loves to attack, and that will win United fans over in an instant. Especially when you see how he utilises wide players.

United know LVG isnt the long term option and he never was, he was there to right the ship. Would be foolish not to push for him.

And I've never gotten the LVG thing. He had the one European Cup with Ajax and no title for what, 5/ 6 years?

u wat m8? Half of those 5 years he was managing national side. Scoring World Cup 3rd place in the process, missing the final on pens.
