Yeah not sure about the doping, but what he did have to help him was a proper winter break how long is it over a month? He also had the second best team in the legue by a distance.

That's a continued ongoing blight on our game and a legitimate argument that nobody seems to ever want to listen to.

****, there's been serious in-depth studies commissioned by UEFA and others that have shown these type of injuries occur FAR less over a season in Country's that have a break than Country's that don't. I wouldn't bin the Chrimbo period per se as that's a big part of our culture and attendances are always high. But I'd defo be having one this month. Even if it meant moving the traditional FA Cup third round back and coming back to that after two or three weeks off in January.

But this has been mentioned by many mangers for many years but the clubs and TV companies, and insular English football fans in a lot of ways, just never seem to deem it acceptable so what do you do?

Oh yeah I agree, honestly to fit it in I would scrap the league cup and use them midweek slots for premier league fixtures to free up a few weeks in january.

Also on a kind of related point, you know how people always say people tank at the world cup because it is played at the end of the season? Be interesting to see how it goes in Qatar in mid-season, cannot blame tiredness then if pkayers don't perform.

Still can't believe UEFA have agreed to that. That's gonna' be a ridiculously mad season in Europe.

Money talks though, and it will probably effect the season before and the season after. Honestly **** knows what they're gunna do.

Edit at least the players who don't go will have a nice winter break haha

They all come out the woodwork AFTER the injuries dont they?
!

***** please, I've been saying this about Dortmund for years. The world doesn't revolve around your injury crisis.

"Everyone was doping and is secretly ****. Except the lad from my country, he's still class"

I'm onto you!

Lol, I guess that did come out awkwardly. But nah, its got nothing to do with him being Polish, I just know what his background is. Both parrents were professional athletes. His wife is not some bimbo WAG with **** bigger than brain, she's a karate multi-medalist with degree in sport science. I wouldn't be shocked if he doped as well, but its not exactly a stretch to assume that he might just have excellent work ethics.

Or perhaps Klopp is a genuinely good manager with a philosophy many have failed to conquer.

He genuinely is a good manager. So is Guardiola, but that doesn't change the fact that Spain mysteriously went to **** after the Fuentes scandal. Doping is widespread on high level sports where there's far less money to make, its naive to assume that football just somehow attracts all the honest athletes on the planet.

Also who are these players who left and flopped?

Gotze is a shadow of his BVB self. Kagawa flopped. Blaszczykowski struggles in Fiorentina. Your own Sahin, Bundesliga player of the year, who just somehow couldn't make a bench in Liverpool?

Spain didn't go to **** after Fuentes, just before he got caught the whole nation had a peak in their sport performances.

And I agree that I don't believe that football is clean. I mean, the IAAF is corrupt and before the doping scandal in Russia, there has always been pressure for strict doping control, while in football (with the FIFA and UEFA) it has barely been addressed in recent years. There is so much more money going around it's quite astonishing how little football players are being tested if you compare it to other sports. Ofcourse it is teamsport where other facets like vision, tactics and technique have an important role, but so does phisicality.

Believe it or not, it wasn't based solely on your opinion.. Many have been saying it, which is very easy after 3 injuries in one match

I cant remember seeing anything in this thread prior to it

So Lacazette is available for around 22million but he rejected the move to Newcastle... Interesting.

You think he will move this close to the Euros? I thought he rejected big clubs in the summer so he could maintain his form for Lyon and cement his national team place? Admittedly Ligue 1 is not on my radar especially aince PSG are a million points ahead (20ish?)

YES! Get in Navas lad! No less than City deserve.

*Edit* Oh FFS! Where's the frigging marking there? And what the **** is the 'keeper doing? City defend as well as us!

Not to Newcastle, but if Liverpool had any interest then I think it would be a big possibility. The fact his form is not like last season may actually help that with probably less interest from bigger clubs

Origi injured, Ings out for the season, Sturridge being Sturridge and Benteke struggling to adapt.. He will get plenty of chances straight away was he to join you'd think

I only threw him up as a name the other day just to make a point of a team struggling the league and out of Europe who may sell a quality forward January ...... Never actually thought they'd consider it lol.

Man, that would be a great dream huh?

Definitely wouldn't say no to the possibility of a Lacazette, Sturridge, Ings, Origi strikeforce next season. With Lacazette and Ings both seeming to be Liverpool and Klopp type strikers, hopefully we could afford to be more patient with Sturridge.

Wait! Sam Allardyce is now blaming injuries on Klopps tactics?

The very same Sam Allardyce who's only ever kept teams from relegation now preaching to a 2 time Bundesliga winner and European Cup finalist on how to manage ...... Yeahhhh, we're gonna' take advice from you. *Rolls eyes.

I don't tweet. So I don't know. But apparently there's a lot of tweeting (if that's the right term) tonight that we're close to a loan deal for Nevan Subotic.

Which would be a massive boost if true.

Yeah I see what you are saying and he is the type of player you should be in for, do not see it being 22 million though, the deal in the summer was between 30-40 million in the summer IIRC and if he is available you will have a fight on your hands, can see United, Arsenal and possibly Chelsea being in for him and probably foreign teams too a lot of chatter Atletico after a striker. If you can snag him though mega signing, but be surprised if he moves before the summer, Lyon will be hoping he has a good Euros to inflate the price.

Yeah fair few tweets that he is in talks for a loan move, where is Theatre of Dreams when you need him he would have been all over it in his transfer rumour thread! Could just be twitter talk though, is he getting game time at Dortmund or not? Not watched or kept up with Bundesliga since November time.

Got injured then lost his place. He has been out of form for a while though...

Great effort from Everton against a weak City team. Their 2nd keeper in goal and Delph bossing the midfield.

It's so cute to see them celebrating at the end. ^^)

I've just read up on this thread and I just want to know if people were being serious when they were talking about Allen's assist. Surely no one actually thinks he meant to pass!? It was a scuffed shot all day long!
