I doubt any other club would be willing to pay 25m, I'd actually be tempted by that as well but luckily I don't think anyone will bid that high

That's pretty much my feeling on the situation.

I appreciate when you're talking that calibre of top level talent, people will always take a gamble. But this has been rolling too long now and appears to be a generic problem. I can't personally see anyone offering anything like £20 million. Let alone more. But I may be doing him a disservice. Time will tell if it comes down to it.

But right here, right now, he's going nowhere and we desperately need to get this right. However much longer he sits.

Be be a good £40/ 50 million at least on the open market to replace a player of his calibre.

Depends on how you look at it. Sure, he's a fantastic player, but... And that's a huge but:

He's been here 3 years now, and he's scored 37 league goals. That's 12 league goals a season. Benteke is en route to getting 12 this season, and he brings a chair to the pitch and sets camp at the penalty spot.

Don't pick on him sometimes you just have to try the darkside with FM ;)

I don't play any long-term saves anymore, they started to bore me. So what I do, is pick a challenge for myself to do over one season save. As a result I'v done like 15 first seasons with Liverpool in FM15 when I was trying to win the domestic treble.

Me too I soon lose interest mind you using the editor and putting Man City in the Conference North and trying to get back was fun!

Point

I had contemplated through some real bored moments to take over Utd and screw them up just because.

But then it's much easier to just leave Van Gaal in charge. Man that game is SO realistic. ;).

Just won the quadruple with United in 2019 so you'd hate me scouse haha. 319 million to spend and don't need anyone :/

The people moaning about the amount of injuries in this years FM are surely not liverpool fans IRL right now lol

More likely this years Premiership is not real but FM in disguise (I mean Chelsea can't be struggling IRL can they ;) )

Ugh. West 'Am at home 4th round. Uninspiring. Probably won't even get a Sat'day 3PM either.

Nah you will get some bollox kick off time, guaranteed if Eastleigh get through ours will be televised like I imagine yours will be, contemplating going but all depends on kick off times.

The BBC twats would probably shaft yers like they did us Exeter and put it Friday frigging night.

Ideally, if it's Eastleigh, you need it Sat'day teatime or even better Sunday dinner. Allows yer to travel down without setting off at an ungodly hour Saturday. Stay over the Saturday night and get home not too late the Sunday.

Unless you're driving there and back the same day then probably mid. Sunday afternoon be the best.

Not for from Southampton airport and flights out of Leeds were pretty reasonable (little difference in that and the train the League Cup game the other month) as an initial thought. Just limited on night time flights. Probably stay over Southampton or Winchester, somewhere like that the Sat'day if I was doing that. Look at Virgin EastCoast deals being in Hull down that line. Then you're out of Waterloo.

I must confess I did that on the handheld version a couple of years ago, it was pretty fun. Highlight was a 37-0 loss to Chelsea before I was sacked, and I simmed the rest of the season, they finished 19th :D

You Sir are a LEGEND!

I think I may be tempted as well depending on how much he features the second half of the season

its 150k a week and 25million for someone who is simply not playing at the moment

Exactly. I've got more than enough FM experience to know what the best thing to do is.

Caulker on loan for the rest of the season - Once promised a lot but tailed off recently.

Targets must not be available, but he is a short term option who is better than our youth options so it's not that bad
