It's a strange one if true. I think migs is a decent keeper who doesn't deserve half the stick he gets but I still don't think he's good enough to be our keeper for another 5 years. Surely we will be looking to get a new one in in the summer. Cannot get my head around it at all.

He'd be a decent keeper for a relegation candidates and low-mid table sides.

In those teams you'd naturally expect to lose more than you win anyway, so a keeper who's inconsistent but occasionaly brilliant works pretty good. He'll win you points when he's brilliant, and when he's not, chances are you probably didn't expect points anyway. Sort of like Boruc is for Bornemouth and previously for the Saints. He's obviously prone to error and occasional brain fart, I watched him his entire career and he's always been like that. But there are also games where he simply nothing goes past him.

In a top-4 aspiring club though? Nah. Top 4 battle is a marathon, consistency should always be the first and last word on the menu.

This springs to mind when you mention Boruc. I was at this game :D. Also being a Rangers fan made it even better haha

Hopefully Mig signs a new improved 5 year deal, after all he has more cleansheets than any GK in the league.

It is so so so frustrating playing this well going forward and conceding such silly goals.

Mignolet at fault for both. Had someone like Cech, Lloris, De Gea etc then Arsenal haven't scored yet today. It is happening time and time again

Mignolet is inspiring me to become a goalie, if he can get a 5 year contract so surely i could, we need a commanding keeper, utd have de gea, City have hart, spurs have loris, gunners have cech, when teams get behind ur defence u think its ok such and such is there, rather than think oh no.

Happy to walk away with a draw, Firmino did well with his goals, could easily had his hat trick, Mingnolet at fault for two of Arsenals goals but good to see Allen pop up and level the match. Also Caulker made his debut, swapping with Lallana!

I only saw from about 65 minutes, but according to the BBC

"Arsenal were the much better side in the second half, but if they are seriously going to go on and win the league, they should have taken all three points here."

Feels like we deserved all the points, but Arsenal were very effective and we don't have a goalkeeper. Great effort by the lads.

Completely disagree about Can btw, I think he was outstanding the first half. Looked very tired the more the match progressed, which caused a few errors. Could probably have been subbed earlier, but so could (should) Lallana.

I wonder what odds you'd get for betting for Allen as goalscorer, when did that happen last??

That's a load of **** tbh. After the 3-2 goal Arsenal didn't have a single chance as far as I can remember.

Such a strange Premier League season.

We are somehow still only 5 points off 4th place and Leicester continue to cement their top four position (and possibly more).

Tonight was a very good performance for the majority of game, but individual errors and IMO poor goalkeeping for the Arsenal goals have put us on the back foot

Great game, nonetheless.

I think that is a fair result to be honest. ******* annoyed we couldn't hold on especially with city drawing tonight.

Yeah and Spurs losing. Still only 5 points off top 4, but it would've been so nice to make it 3 and then beating United at the weekend. God I hope we win that game.
