Haha, thanks (I think).

Apparently FSG tried to convince him to stay on, but he refused. And the decision was made "months ago", so I don't think the whole ticket situation played a part. But who knows.

But tbh I didn't realize the hate for him was that strong.

John Henry personally asked him to stay, decision make 5 months ago.

One thing people shouldnt forget though is his work when turning around the disaster after H&G. It would be horribly disingenious to whitewash that out

Oh, from the club's POV, he's perfect. He's a ruthless businessman who makes money. From that aspect he's done them proud.

From a fan standpoint, who he's foolishly on record as hating even though he claims to be one, he's been an absolute ****house.

Yeah that's my impression as well. On the financial and commercial side he's done a pretty decent job, at least as far as I know.

The club would have been reeling for years without his work. Love him or hate him, but respect what he did in helping save a broken club (financially) post H&G

Wait, what?

I forget who he was talking to a whiles back, but he's out there as 'disliking' fans and their views and they should be happy to pay whatever the price is to see the team.

That turned people even more against him.

Of course he's backtracked and tried to reverse that totally ever since.

Still can't believe he wasn't sacked after Kazan when the pictures of him with the brasses were all over the net. Getting ****** and partying with hookers on club time away is bad enough. (Something he regularly did/ does on Euro aways. Partying the night away.). But to then take the very same two girls to the frigging game and have them sat either side of him was the ultimate **** take.

Good riddance.

The BA Chairman who's name escapes me takes a large slice of the credit in that too. Chelsea fan.

Mike's right here. If memory serves right he was the deciding vote, or something along those lines, in what happens between the H&G and the courts. I remember how outraged the yanks were when they found it. They tried to replace him on the board with their own people.

He and Christian Purslow, the then MD, where the ones they tried to laughably replace to block the sale in a desperate move that got thrown out of court. Purslow was another ****. Sir Martin Broughton was the BA fella' I was trying to remember. He steered the club fantastically well through that and onto the sale to what is now FSG.

My suspicion is that since they started Fellaini in the FA Cup they will start Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger instead against us.

Be very happy if the German plays in a game of that tempo. Man has he been, how can we put this delicately ..... 'eating well' in his time off.

Just concerned about the mental edge that might give them to have a player who has won everything out there on the field

And then they tried to sue him too.

And then they tried to sue him too.

He and Purslow, another complete ****, they filed against who they frigging appointed as MD! Complete and utter charlatans. They make Boston look picture perfect owners.

But for every negative .....

Hicks is in massive debt and has just finally sold his exclusive Dallas mansion for a substantial loss down to that. And they're both going through the US court system along with the RBS for millions owed that they borrowed to initially buy in. Still paying £100 K a month interest on those repayments from what, 4 years ago now?

Karma's a *****!

The derby's been rearranged for Wednesday April 20th. That's the week after the quarter final second leg on the Thursday, the memorial the Friday, and Bournemouth away the Sunday. Be strange being away in Europe if that's how the second leg falls for the memorial. Have to find a church on foreign soil and do our little service that we do down St. Nicks.

Everton's 'Cup Final' before their semi final. Nice. ;). :D.

Chelsea has been rearranged for Wednesday May 11th. (They're saying it's subject to further change but heck knows why? No clash with any Europa round.).

Both games to kick at 8 PM BST. Both live on Sky.

Early on I know, but any idea what the criteria will be for EL Final?

With a scandalous allocation of around 7 thousand per club .....

I think it's until next Monday on the Uefa site to apply and have a chance out of their ballot. But officially out of L'pool zero chance.
