Just realized this means Liverpool won't be coming to Trondheim for the Super Cup, I had forgotten all about that today. That makes the loss suck even more, if possible.

Had flights all ready to book this AM. Guess we can cancel those rooms now. Ah well, that saves a shed load of money Noterigen prices.

Completely flat lay morning as you can imagine. Never expected that and not sure what happened. Outside of Kolo I can't make a case for any player. Just about the worst we've played under him. Certainly in Europe. Against far from a top side. But still more than worthy winners. Yeah, the officiating was **** poor and completely against us. But we were just completely flat all game and deserved nottin'. And that includes the fans. Everything was just limp and unexplaianable. Only one team believed they'd win second half which is even more bizarre given all the great results/ performances/ comebacks in Europe this year.

Don't want to pick out individuals as everyone was wank, but if Moreno plays for this football club again the whole management team wants binning.

No European trips for a whole year. That's a complete killer. Live to go away in Europe. But at least there's a possible new ground to look forward to the second round the league cup right? Haha.

Just utterly depressed. But at least we've seen more than enough in 8 months under Klopp to know we're in real safe hands going forward. Just makes the summer targets that much harder with no European footie to offer. Can't see Gotze coming now at all.

Ahh well, least the train journey Geneva round the lake later is a picturesque one.

Mighty Reds.

Sevilla are a top side. Was actually really disappointed in the coverage of them from Bt and the press. Especially when I know the analysts and APs know an absolute shed load about them. You'd have thought there was only one team in this final. They are Europa league specialists

On the game itself. Liverpool never had real control. And moreno was diabolical. Coutinho disappeared and firmino had no legs

Thanks Sevilla for letting me know United fans still exist despite living under a rock recently.

Living under rock for having better season than Livepool every season bar very few? Ok.

Today I have learn that Michael Owen is ambassador for LFC. Jesus.

That's exactly the point. You lot disappear until we lose a cup final, and then suddenly have the urge to comment in this thread.

Dude, you losing final was a best thing United had in last 3 seasons.

And thats ******* sad.

It's sad mate. I've got a job interview at Anfield tomorrow, but all I've wanted to do is forget about football for now. I've somehow got to drag myself out of the bed and slap myself across the face to convince myself I actually want to work here.

We'll get over it. But what a missed opportunity...

It's almost like people were waiting for something significant to happen. Like a cup final.

Sevilla are a top side.....

Depends on your definition of 'top.' Don't misunderstand me. They're a good side. To win 3 straight European competitions is no mean feat at all and they deserve the utmost respect for that. 5 in the last 10 years is fantastic and they thoroughly deserved to win the final. But they aren't 'Dortmund' top. Who are by far and away the best side we've faced in the competition this year. You look at them in the European Cup and La Liga ..... Hard to not sound patronising by saying a three-peat side isn't a 'top' side, but you know where I'm coming from.

Gonna' nag away all summer that was a massive missed opportunity but that falls on ourselves and congratulations to Sevilla on a marvellous achievement. Little complaints here on the officials or anything when we didn't turn up and effect the game to the best of our ability at all. On or off the field.

Oh good, you're still alive

If Sevilla are not a top side, I dare say neither are we. When you compare both sides, our league form has been inconsistent at best (and that's being positive). I personally think the Europa League Final was a perfect summery of our season: "Decent going forward, unlucky with decision... excitement, we have a chance... what the ****!? What happened to this team. We're ****. Oh yeah, Benteke plays for us. Why do we even bother showing up"

We were everything I've seent his season last night. Some decent passages, some moments of brilliance, some good displays; and then a shambolic half where the boys forgot how to play football.

Watching his official presser today after that game. Man alive have you ever seen Klopp so down?

But then reading he got all the players together back the hotel and lead them in a rousing 'We are Liverpool' is just a mark of the man.

We're in good hands kid. This one, after the League Cup, stings. No European football for one of UEFA competitions elite stings even harder. But he'll have us ready to go again fighting on all fronts domestically next year.

We're in the best hands.

Good luck with the interview mate.

Wouldn't of thought that was open to debate B. (Please tell me nobody's been running with that line?).

It was highly amusing to read Emery saying we where among the top 10 sides in the World prior to the final when we finished 8th in our own league.
