Just wish you could get better than 9/1 on the latter.

its an interesting one, would seem as if punters are waiting on the transfer market before lumping on title winners, Arsenal, City and to an extent United still have potential big business to do you could also throw in Chelsea. Once they make additions punters may lump on so Pool may go out a bit maybe if you are lucky see say 12s.

I think United will chase one major in, then you will see a few outs. I hope it will be Pogba, but it could be someone like Kroos if Madrid get him

That's what I'm chancing waiting and holding out hope on. Just want a bit better return.

Yeah its a risk but a calculated one I think, realistically I dont see Pool going past say 8s as it stands without significant backing. Bookies have pinned it all on Pep last I checked with city being something ridiculous like 6/4 or whatever it is. Given the rebuild and restyle that Pep will do imo there is no value at all.

Completely agree on City. And throw in he's completely new to the rigours of the PL. All the extra media attention keeping him off the training field and no winter break will be a massive adjustment for him. As I type, presuming L'pool make a serious challenge as I'm fully confident we will. 'Spurs as they're the most set/ stable to go from day one and Utd down to the Mourinho factor more than anything I'd see as our main challengers. With City making up the top four and London falling backwards. Arsenal continue to be Arsenal. And Chelsea for me are in the biggest mess of any of the big players and I don't think they've helped themselves by messing up their coaching search to be left with Conte by default who I really don't rate.

Just checked on coral but pool was 8s on there they've been trimmed to 7s must be due to the Mane signing, pretty sure they will drift again. Just a pain Coral don't pay EW on top 3, theirs are top 2.

Yeah, 8's and 9's seems to be across the board. Hill's, PP, a few other's had us still at 9's over the weekend.

I'm struggling with my lucky 15 that i do every year (ew on league champs cross the 4 divisions), might have to go united on their price, 9/2 second favourites, which looks tasty. Its such an intriguing season though this year with top coaching talent and teams on the periphery like Everton and Southampton will have money to spend. Not been this excited for a season to start so glad my team are in the league below so I can just enjoy it haha

Whisper this quietly but I'm kind of looking forward to a much stronger Everton under Koeman who I think is just terrific. Ala L'pool and Utd, it's always been really good for both clubs to be pushing one another.

To have the derby back as a game of National significance and not just local pride would be fantastic for those of us that remember what great, often season defining occasions they were the '80's.

Also a fantastic bonus that Mane, and the two Brazilians, along with Ings, will be back right at the start of this real important pre-season this week.

What's the best way of getting to Tranmeres ground via public transport?

Ok. Thanks to Zelda being absolutely clueless, we get another massive bonus of having our England contingent, not least Sturridge, off for a 4 week break and back for the start of the US training camp.

It's all coming together.

Haha Iceland ******* did it, this is bigger than us beating Brazil in '98!

Just noticed this mate, sorry. Thought we had this discussion?

Get train from Central or Limey (downstairs, Wirral line) to Rock Ferry. Birkenhead be too far. Then either walk or jump a taxi. (Not far but be a pain). Not sure how long rain ride is but shouldn't be long just over the water. And regular. Not got a clue on buses.

We're driving over again like '01.

That's the plan we've got so far. **** it getting a taxi from the station though, looks a ******* trek!

Brilliant to read from the manager on Sadio:

"I have followed Sadio for a lot of years since his impressive performances in the Olympics in 2012, and then watched his development in Austria and in his time at Southampton.

Since I came here I have spoken to the staff a lot about him and have always felt he could be a very good signing for us. He has a lot of quality, works hard and has a very good goalscoring record.
When I spoke to him I could tell that he was passionate about joining the club and playing for our fantastic fans. I think they will be just as excited about seeing him put on a Liverpool shirt as I am.
It is great that we have managed to sign him so he can work with us from the first day of pre-season."

And talking of that great goalscoring record, a very good video compilation of all Mane's Southampton goals:

Considering he's bagged the second highest number of PL goals the last two years from anyone not a striker (Alex Sanchez from Arsenal is the other), and he's been very bitty in his goal runs with large inconsistent spells without; one can only imagine how many more he might add as he develops and hopefully gains that consistency.

really looking forward to seeing mane play for us will give us the extra dynamic to our attack PACE which is what we have lacked. I know alot of people arnt happy with the fee which i understand but its going to end up been the standard price for players now with all the new tv deals i mean leicester bid £30m for Deeney which watford turned down the amount of money in football boosts the price of everyone up now, even more so when were dealing with clubs in the prem

Absolutely mate. We need to forget about transfer fee's. They just are what they are and will get more out of reality with the new TV money as you say.

But the bottom line for me is Klopp wanted him. No more needs adding. That should do for everyone.
