Zielinski looks a broken man in behind the scenes material from the Euro. Must have been crushed by not having any playtime that could land that big move. Not a kid's fault though that we don't have a tactical position for him right now. Works for us, but it's certainly a bizzare set-up with typical destroyer playing with #10 on his back.

Still an excellent chance of getting his wish to play here under the crazy German next season.

Well thanks to the absolutely outstanding Welsh, Divock and Mingolet are the latest two players that will be in at the start of the US training camp. It's coming together nicely.

Hadn't had time to read the details at work. Back to square one.
Well it keeps people from irresponsibly throwing away money on airy fairy bets!! Hahaha

I've been doing my reading on Klopp. His achievements at Dortmund were just outstanding... giving me more hope for your hashtag. :D

Back in training this morning matey. It starts here! (If he's not killed Mario already. Which is a distinct possibility haha.).

Can next Friday just hurry up and get here?!

Haha, I hear yer mate. Never wanted to go across the water so much lol.

One thing. (That's always a thing but yer know.). Arsenal opening day is ALL that matters. And it would appear he's even less arsed about pre-season kick about results than anyone. He just see's it *** one big training session geared toward opening day .....

In all of the pre-season games we will play we will play be out full training. So if we play our best in pre-season then I’ve done something completely wrong,” .....
“It’s another session, it’s not about beating our opponents. I don’t care about how big the opponent is we will say nothing about the situation.

So if results aren't good, don't sweat it mate. We don't tear up Tranmer or Fleetwood? Meh, who cares? Let other fans mock away. Pre-season is what it is. Getting everyone in shape and an understanding together to be ready for Arsenal. And this is one of the most important pre-seasons we've had in ages His first. Sets the whole ethos for what's expected going forward and the tone of how the club will be. (As if they all didn't know that already.). LOVING the three a-day's. With a fresh squad that hasn't been playing all summer, if they come out the gate ubber fit gangapressing like mad men teams won't know what'***** them the start the year. 9 games in 31 days along with all the hours on the training pitch should see to that.

Now go work Red Men like you've never worked before pre-season. The hard work starts today. The rewards will be MORE than worth it.

Let the good times roll again!

If the rumours are true, I'd be tempted to go and match the Ev and go after Axel Witsel.

As good as Zielinski may be, he is not what we need right now and someone to partner Can in that CM should be become a priority I'd imagine.

Would love to see us splash, particularly after the soon to be sale of Benteke. Buttttt that is not going to happen.

I hear you on Zielinski mate. Like most everyone else not called Tyton, I know next to nothing on him. Made even more frustrating by not being able to watch him in France. BUT if he arrives then the manager obviously feels he's what we need and is both better than what we have and fits into what we're building, so that's all I need to know personally.

Same with no major money splashes. (Do Mane and quite possibly Dahoud count as that?). Personally no longer a concern to me at all. IF the right one is there that meet's everything required, like Gotze was to him, I have no doubt we'd be in. But I have NO problem with the arrivals coming in thus far as he has a **** of a track record of coaching unheralded players up to pretty darn good ones.

He knows what it takes to build a team mate. We'll be fine.

Never felt like this before a season. So much anticipation to see what Jurgen can do for us with a full pre-season under his belt and the signings he's wanted.

If you hear someone trying to get a Go West chant going Friday you know I've had one too many.

LOL. You sing away about Ged lad. It's what laid back pre-seasonies are all about And talking Houllier, nothing will ever beat the fella' who tried to get a Frode frigging Kippe song going one sunny summer Sat'day the early '90's at Burnley he was making up as he went along. Some **** about having 'Kippers for breakfast and kippers for tea ..... ' He'd DEFO had one or ten too many. LOL.

Zielinski may be very good - but everything says he is suspect defensively which means as a starting player that's a worry with the players we already have.

He does know how to build a good team, but in a league that only one team strengthens significantly each summer. At the moment we are only further lagging behind our rivals with the transfers as things stand

See I'm struggling to understand your thinking there.

We've upgraded the biggest problem area of all, goalkeeper. How good this kid is I don't know. But being voted above Neuer by most of his fellow professionals as the best Bundesliga 'keeper last season is a very promising sign. We've upgraded centre half with one of the best defenders in Germany last year who Munich tried REAL hard to sign by Matip's own admission. A massively important piece we didn't have has arrived in the difference making versatility Mane gives. A player Utd got turned down on in January. And there's the highly sought after Grujic who may well not be a starter from the get go but looks to have the right attributes for what we're doing to be a long term fixture in the side.

That's three, potentially four key signings right there who have all improved the side. Two of which were wanted by other major clubs over the course the last season.

Help me out as I'm struggling to understand your fears with what we've done?

I think given Leicesters exploits last season every team that is challenging for say top 7 should be hopeful of a title challenge, Leicester showed get your defensive game correct and anything is possible. Clean sheets are king and keeping one is always worth more points per game than scoring a goal. Its the most open league for as long as I can remember, not saying it will be Pools year personally think top 4 with either a late surge on title or you will start amazing and fade. But thats only me personally, like I say if I was a fan of a top 7 team I would fancy my teams chances of winning it.

Taking the further Iceland and Wales the Euro's. Organisation and team spirit can overcome a lot.

Yeah I think team spirit is something that has been on the wane in recent years and most definitely being organised, **** watching PL teams defend gives me nightmares given my Serie A education

Oh good God Mario's returned saying he want's to win the Ballon d'Or! TRY not to laugh too hard as you read this: Returning Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli states Ballon d'Or aim - Liverpool Echo

Mario and 3 a-day's. This can ONLY end one way .....

So how long we giving it today before the crazy German is scarring shoppers chashing Mario down Church Street with a machete?

Imagine if Klopp could turn him round make him realise his potential that would eclipse anything he has achieved in management ;)
