I wouldn't mind a move for Wijnaldum... I actually rate him and he shown glimpses last season in a very poor side.

Price is a little expensive but this summer has/will change prices of players completely

Thinking about it, £15 million for Ibe. £15/20 million for Wjnaldum. You look at it like that and it's a good upgrade of depth

Barrett talking out of his ****???. First of all where would he play, we already have so many attacking mids tripping over each other. Seems like a daft signing considering he isn't any better than what we already have.
Barrett is one of the best, if he's saying that it's because he's getting multiple good sources telling him

It just doesn't make any sense. Wijnaldam isn't any better than what we already have. Plus we let go Toure who was excellent cover for another player to be bought in as cover. Slightly baffled with these two signings.

Have to disagree with you there mate. Allen, Henderson, Lallana, Milner. Any of those as attack minded and productive in transition as Wijnaldum? Can't argue he'd instantly upgrade the squad depth. Lot of speed and goals being added from midfield which we haven't had. Just personally surprised as he's the last I'd considered.

And TBF, we weren't expecting to need a 5th choice CB with the reduced number of games this year so it's not like we planned on replacing Kolo. Just the injuries to Gomez and Sakho, and their subsequent lack of fitness going into the year has forced our hand. As much as I loved Kolo and would of loved him to of still been around, he was never gonna' play more than a handful of games at most this year as 5th choice. Lot to commit financially to for that and not really fair on him. On the positive you're getting 5 years younger there. Hard to find fault with all that experience when he's costing buttons.

Solid, unspectacular, and dependable. Exactly what you need in cover

Ta. Exactly what I want my defenders to be by the sound of it. Reliable players that just do their primary job and defend. Sounds simplistic but SO many don't and think they can play today when they can't as we see right across this league.

If this early Monday morning is any indication, I want Wijnaldum BAD! Three Evertonians ****** thus far.

If he's gonna' bring about major fume among the bitters get him signed ASAP! Haha.

Not seen anything but with 9 mins to go, England are winning again 2-1 and Ojo has made another goal and would of had 2 assists if a third England goal hadn't been ruled out.

So 2 starts, 3 assists which could of been 4.

Not too shabby Sheyi lad.

Arent you getting bit stacked at that positsion? Or are you seeing someone going? Wijnaldum should be first team player, not on the bench.

I think Klopp is planning for a few formations and needs to add more goals from midfield. Wij has proven to be fairly versatile in quite a few positions which is perhaps why he is being targeted

if anything it gives us alot of strength in depth

Perhaps, but he went into hiding last season, to the point Rafa dropped him, so not sure he falls into the "pushing the train category" Not sure he is one for standing when things get tough

I agree - he was very inconsistent last season and his attitude may have not been the best.

Although, he wasn't the only one in a dreadful Newcastle side.. There is no doubt he has quality and if he does sign LFC fans will be hoping the difference in quality around him will be a benefiting factor
