Yeah exciting player but overpriced imo considering how much they paid for him a year ago and he’s a 1 in 3/4 str. But Liverpool usually do a good job on scouting players etc. So interesting to see if he can kick on.
 
Guess that’s the end of the Freddy Church dream then.

Mad how certain top class footballers (Morientes springs instantly to mind), just don’t fit at certain clubs.

And like ‘Nando, he’ll doubtless go back home and start tearing it up again.
 
If he is gone, that says to me even more Isak will be a Red by the end of the window.

Or Rodrygo does give position flex to play right across the line so maybe there’s something in that? 🤷‍♂️

Defo need another. We have what? Mo, Cody, Ekitike, Wirtz and Rio, who is nowhere near ready to be exposed to the levels consistently we are running at.

With Jota’s sad passing, and Darwin and Diaz gone, if Chiesa is too, we need at least one more you feel.

Sweet. Complete unknown for me so I’m enjoying finding out about the player. But two things I am proper buzzing about ….. I love that from the start of the summer he has only wanted, and held out, for us. I love reading that on our data for the perfect 9 to fit Slot’s system, only Haaland and Mbappe scored higher.

First part of EkitIsak boxed. 🇫🇷

Now for the main course ….. 🇸🇪

Its hilarious seeing the discourse from Newcastle fans saying he'd never leave them and that he's going to give them a year more blah blah. There is no way the reliable journalists would've reported interest a month back if they weren't confident of a move happening. It still might not but the delusion from their fans and outrage has been hilarious.

We have barely spent in the last two windows especially last summer and this is just the squad revamp being brought forward by a year. Remember the core group we have e.g Salah and Virgil will eventually need replacing next year anyway so get it done now.

That’s a big F you to Newcastle on any thoughts of contract talks.

He’ll be more around the 200 mark with incentives.

That said, for well arguably the best CF out there, why would that be way too much?

Problem is look at the mess that’s got is in and why the new lot are trying to do things differently and reset the wage structure. You start offering big wages it doesn’t leave you any room in upcoming contract negotiations or when new players and there agents come talking to the club in regards to new signings. He’s not worth Salah levels money yet.

Squad game over 60 odd matches. First XI is interchangeable. All about top quality depth where there’s no drop off.

That said, I can’t remember an interchangeable attack that is this technically fluid. Salah, Gakpo, Isak, Ekitike, Wirtz. The frightening prospect of Rio being allowed to develop at his own pace.

The halcyon days of Salah, Bobby and Mane may well be going up another level again.
