He would be a Liverpool player if Glasner didn't throw a tantrum. All joking aside about Hughes fumbling another tap-in …..

The one who has fumbled all this is Parish. Cost his club a much needed £15 million against PSR and a manager. Thats about as negligent as it gets.

But regardless, talking of negligence …..

This makes little sense at all. 🤷‍♂️

We need CH's. Plural. For the long term. Not the short. Guehi fits all systems and ticks all boxes plus he can play right full easily and well. And whatever you think on the manager, it’s completely immaterial whether Slots the manager next season or ANY other manger you care to name. Guehi fits them ALL and is the one they wanted.

I don't have a F clue what has made them walk away here? You presume its the ridiculous salary being mooted that would have had a great chance of causing serious unrest the changies. Which, if it is, you can't do anything else but applaud the club for walking away ..... IF thy have a similar replacement ready to go before the windows out.

If they don't, then I don't think negligence is too strong a word for gambling with what is fixing to be a great second-half of the season.

It made perfect sense to not spend the last time we won the league with nobody knowing where finances, or indeed, actual normal life, would be in the midst of the pandemic. It would have ben reckless beyond belief to spend in that uncertain climate. The club made the absolute right decision to stand pat and just go with loans and buttons buys. But this isn’t in the midst of COVID.

The next two weeks are critical. They can’t do the same again and expect legs not to drop off before May.

Feel for you having to watch a somewhat decent performance at Anfield be negated by Konate losing his brain and then cascading it with a disasterclass time and time again. I'd take peak Martin Skrtel over him and he was ***** at his best. What a fall from grace for him. They've set up Slot to fail (he doesn't help himself mind you) but you can go into the second half of the season without signing a CB. We need one now asap.

They calling it the worse unbeaten run and I can't disagree. 5 wins in 17 or 21 points in 17 games is turgid however which way you want to look at it. We need CL football next season with the outlay done. I think I'd quit football if united with their amorim ball shenanigans pipped us to top 4 ngl 😭

Sleeping on it hasn’t dampened the frustration. 😡

Liverpool do more than enough to win 5 games of football. 32 shots to Burnley’s 7. With 11 of those on target to Burnley’s 1. 3 big chances created to Burnley’s 0. 9 corners to Burnley’s 1. 72.9% possession to Burnley’s 27.1 %. And an exceptionally high xG of 3.18 to 0.4. With 2.38 of that from open play to Burnley’s 0.33. They miss a peno. Have a shot cleared off the line. Have multiple other shots as good as cleared off the line/ from in front of goal. They dominated the worst team in the PL to the levels they should. On pure domination and factual stats, it would be ‘just one of them’ that happens in football. Total dominance undone when you both don’t take your chances. And you have a mad 10 minutes that gifts your opponents something they never deserved from the game.

Yet it still isn’t good enough.

Even if they’d won, it never felt that dominant and wouldn’t have been good enough. Everyone is unhappy. Everyone is frustrated. It boils over at the end, for the second time at home this season, after PSV, into some, not many, from the back of the Kop, letting that annoyance and frustration boil over. A building, seasons worth of frustration at home, into boos. The very antipathy of how we conduct ourselves at the match. But, with the anxiety and frustration at failing to beat yet another promoted side at home, this one well arguably the worst in the entire league, its understandable frustration. Why wouldn’t you be in a bad mood when it keeps on happening at Anfield? Folk getting off toward the end of 90 and in injury time is nottin’ new. Thats a PL staple madly to beat the traffic, rush back into town for trains, or get back the boozer early to start the night out. Jurgen was regularly exasperated at that right through his 8 years. That will never change in this age no matter who is in charge and no matter how dominant/ sparkling the football is. The ‘boos’ were minimal like and born out of pure frustration. But there was a general, growing annoyance and pure anxiety and frustration. Mainly at the players for missing chance after chance after chance. Along with the manager, for some of the stop/ start play of fast breaks that stopped to walking pace the final third. (Szobozlai madly the biggest culprit of that all game when his teammates were trying to break fast.). And lead to the arl’ Kop classic of ‘Attack, Attack, Attack, Attack, ATTACK!’, being screamed at them the last 15 as frustration mounted to get the winner. This was by far and away the best showing against the three promoted sides at home. Particularly first half where L’pool played some great football.

Yet it still isn’t good enough.

Wirtz was great again. As was Frimpong and Kerkez. Mad how he took the latter off? 🤷‍♂️ Ekitike was boss all game. Curtis stood tall again and dictated. But too many just weren’t good enough ….. Big Dom was atrocious all game. And madly spent most of it berating his teammates to calm down and slow it down! 🤬 Konate was back to being a walking calamity. Gifting Burnley there point taking equaliser. Gakpo continues to frustrate as he has no left foot and is so predictable cutting inside all the time as he can’t go outside and beat his man. Kyle Walker never got out of bed for 75 mins. But he sure as heck S himself the last 15 with Rio tearing at him. Rio who should have been on MUCH earlier. AllyMac, after a couple of really good games, back to his seasons worth of nothingness.

It just isn’t good enough right now from them. As dominant as that game was, belief going into injury time we’d win just wasn’t there. And frustration and unhappiness was as tangible as it’s been all season with it happening again. At home. I’ve read comments of it being like the end of Hodgson and Rodgers. This is NOTHING like that. We were far, far, FAR worse and dull than we are currently under those two. And the manager and players haven’t lost the support. But this can’t keep happening. Particularly at home. Where you’re uncertain as to the outcome EVERY game! 🤦‍♂️Yesterday, frustration boiled over toward all of them. COLLECTIVELY!

Sort it out Liverpool aye?!!!!! You’re all, manager included, SO much better than this. Have belief and conviction in yourself and sort it out as this happening again, against a promoted side, just isn’t good enough.

And if you all think your football life is bad, spare a thought for those of us that do actually support them over the next week. A day in work tommorow. Then an overnight in Paris Tuesday. Before a train down to Marseille. Which is always grim and proper moody to start with. Constantly watching your back. Before you throw in the French RoboCops treating you like utter S. Home Thursday and back in work Friday. To then have another long A drive to Bournemouth, for a ridiculous tea-time KO, and an overnighter there down to that and not having the will to drive back all in one go. All to support this shared passion of ours.

But we’re the problem apparently. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Up the just not good enough Reds!
