Scouse is still asleep.
I'll fill in for him

I’ve had a few hours to let that one sink in, and yeah, it stings. Getting beat 2–0 away isn’t what any of us wanted, and no one’s pretending otherwise. But if there’s one thing you learn supporting this club, it’s that nights like that are only half the story.
Because now it comes back to Anfield. Under the lights. And that’s a different beast altogether.
People who don’t get us will look at the scoreline and think it’s done. They don’t understand what that ground becomes on a European night. They don’t understand what it means to be Scouse. We’re not like everyone else, never have been. We graft, we scrap, and more than anything, we stick together. Always have, always will.
You could see last night the lads were off it, maybe a yard slow, maybe the occasion away from home got to them a bit. PSG are a top side, no shame in saying that. But they haven’t been to Anfield on a proper European night with something on the line. They haven’t felt that roar when the lights go down and the anthem kicks in and the whole place just lifts.

That’s when it changes.

That’s when the Kop becomes the 12th man, the 13th man, the whole city rolled into one. That’s when every tackle gets cheered like a goal, every press gets louder, every mistake from them gets pounced on. That’s when we remind everyone why we’re European royalty.
We’ve been here before, haven’t we? Written off, backs against the wall, everyone saying it’s too much. And every single time, this club finds something. Not just the players, the fans. The city. That Scouse spirit where you look after your own, where you don’t turn on each other when it’s tough, you dig in and you push harder.

That’s what will happen next leg.
No moaning, no turning on the lads. We go again. We fill that ground early, we sing louder than we’ve sung all season, and we make it horrible for them from the first whistle. Let them know they’re not just playing a team, they’re playing a club, a city, a history that doesn’t roll over.

Two goals? That’s nothing at Anfield. We’ve seen bigger hills climbed.

So heads up. Stick together. Believe.
Because under those lights, with that crowd, anything can happen.
And deep down, every one of us knows it.

Up the Reds.

FAR more important than a mere game of football, if you are privileged to be at the game today, is the start of the fight for protecting the most important thing at the football club. The one thing the club markets EVERYTHING off as they sell the club to the World. US! What we create. The flags. The noise. The passion. The World famous Anfield atmosphere they market the heck out if. To then take for granted and try erode by pricing out further future generations from already sky high ticket prices WAY above inflation.

Stand up as one. No other fanbase has the power of our fanbase. And he club knows that all too well. We’ve won bigger fights than this. And we’ll win this one again if we stand together. They are already worried with Hogan’s nonsensical, condescending email that was riddled with holes and contradictions yesterday. And that’s just at the removal of the flags off the Kop they market the heck out of to attract visitors to the ground from all over the World. Without paying a penny toward the making and upkeep of them those lads and lasses do voluntarily out of there own pocket. The absence of them is the first message sent to Boston that if you take the 12th Man for granted, this is just the start of removing what you make your money off.

Leave your flags at home. Help hand out leaflets if you can from the food banks at flagpole corner and talk and educate people about what we are protecting here. And give your money to local business and don’t give the club a penny on match day.

Let the club know this is just the start and things will only escalate by the match from here. We’ve gone through and won these battles before. And we’ll win this one. But only if we stay together as one. Unity is Strength!

The support from many opposition fan groups has been really heartening since last weeks disgrace from Liverpool. They always have looked to us first to lead on what is becoming a National issue again across ALL clubs. Now do your bit and protect what’s the most important part of this or any other football club. YOU!

Getting top 5 is massive. Protecting the 12th man for future generations is FAR bigger.

NOT A POUND IN THE GROUND!

Yesterday, among the horrid weather, was a really good day at the match once more. 😊

Yesterdays admin-

Title Defence Countdown:
15 wins down/ 6 to go. (Adjusted from pre-season target of 27 wins.).
52 points down/ 18 to go. (Adjusted from pre-season target of 89 points.).

Current unbeaten home PL run:
P 3 W 2 D 1 F 8 A 3 CS: 1
1 Straight Win/ 1 Straight CS.

First, the single most important business yesterday-

No surprise, given the superb turnout to the on-line supporters board meeting, and subsequent, supportive agreement across SM, that pretty much the whole of the ground was united against the club and the disgraceful, three-year set price hikes. And even better to see Fulham fans join in unison. Publicising it all over there SM. And joining in spending money outside the ground back into local business’. And NOT in the ground into the club coffers. MASSIVE kudos to both them, and the amount of opposition fan groups who have sent their support and backing. Publicising the protests all over. 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👊🏻

Unity is STRENGTH!

I don’t know how it came over on the telly, but there were loud songs of ‘Enough is Enough, You Greedy Btards, Enough is ENOUGH!. And ‘Stick yer F prices up yer A!’ 5 or 6 times through the game. And it was perfect that the only banner left up pre-game was for one of the greatest Scousers of all time, who also fought tooth and nail against the authorities until she could no longer draw breath. Anne Williams. When the SpionKop1906 lads and lassies walked out the big ‘NO TO TICKET PRICE INCREASES!’ banner on 13 in front the Kop, the applause from the whole ground was unanimous. Loads of leaflets distributed before the game. Along with stickers playing on the club slogan of ‘WE ARE LIVERPOOL. THIS COSTS MORE’ With ‘costs’ over the ‘means.’

On not spending anything in the ground, it was VERY noticeable how quiet the kiosks were both before the game and at half-time. With loads of food/ drinks and programmes left unsold. (Yesterday was the first time in my 46 years going the game I can remember not buying a prohie. But some things are just FAR bigger an issue.). But one thing people do need to learn to do is educate, and not berate, those that did still buy off the club. Calling them ‘SCABS!’ is not the best way to inform and influence them. And get them onside. 🤦‍♂️ And related to that, maybe leaflet more the pubs/ cafes before the game/ put one on every seat, to make sure everyone in attendance is aware that we won’t stand for being taken for granted and exploited anymore?

This was just the start of protecting EVERYONES future to keep Anfield affordable and fair to all. Brilliant to see the BBC/ SKY/ TNT, and most major media outlets, have run with it overnight. Tuesday, the Hillsborough flags will be back the Kop as we remember our own. But NOTHING else. And certainly no flags and colour going forward that the parasites like to market everything off. With walkouts/ going in late/ staying on the concourse and going up to the stand late et al, all on the planning table.

If Hogan and his condescendingly tone deaf colleagues think yesterday was a one off, they are SORELY mistaken. That was just the start with unanimous plans to escalate this EVERY game until the club opens up dialogue again, and backs down!!!!!

Secondly, the slightly less important, in the grand scheme of things, if massively important in its own right, business of the actual football-

All for routine wins me. L’pool just doing their collective job and making sure they keep all the points. Against a very good, mid-table side they should be beating. But who’s like they haven’t beaten consistently enough through this turbulent season. Nothing spectacularly outstanding. Just grafting, showing pride, and doing the basics right. And in so doing, having the crowd fully behind them and believing once more. That was yesterday. And it was brilliant after the fractious gloom of Tottenham last time out at home the league. With two belter goals and a clean sheet thrown in for good measure.

Let’s have more of that aye Reds?

Most every player was a 7 out of 10 save for maybe Gakpo. But then when he moved back out the left, he rescued a poor outing through the middle and was very good the last 30. Brilliant to get to relish Mo and AndyRobbo doing there thing once more, and getting full backing in so doing, whilst we still can. The goalie makes some good saves. And he did the basics well finally for a very solid outing. The midfield had fight and energy. And kept its shape well. By no means a complete, cohesive unit as Fulham still broke through too easily at times. But much better than of late. And then there’s the headlining wonderkid …..

The driving heartbeat of the whole team with direct, exciting tenacity. Topped with a belter goal. Great display. Rio is getting stronger and stronger with each passing game. But it’s important still to not over burden him at this stage of his embryonic development. Either now or next season. But having him more experienced, stronger and reliable, as a key auxiliary piece off the bench who’s development minutes you can manage, is a terrific 5th choice part of the attacking arsenal presuming 2 new wide players come in upfront.

All in all a very productive day. From all standpoints. Which even the torrential downpour, as the heavens opened with a vengeance leaving the ground, didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. With the PL table looking a whole lot better this AM than it has been for a good few weeks.

Onto Tuesday. Anfield. Happy and together again. Under the European lights ….. Maybe. Just maybe …..

Up the Reds!

Is right Virgil lad. ✊🏻

That’s as close as he can come without outright calling the club out for this unjustifiable disgrace. 👏🏻

Brilliant to read the captain adding to the growing solidarity from many opposition fan groups. And across the media at large.
