God bless the Ev.

Including 4 lads with a red and white scarf in that banner.

Never change lads. NEVER change. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Built the City. But couldn't afford the rent at their first ground.

Hows that work then? 🤷‍♂️

Waking up to the sun shining through the window sets you up nicely for what, if you are from/ still live in the City, is the biggest day of every season that you look forward to the most. Derby Day.

Play with the same graft and passion/ intensity as Fulham and PSG, and we’ll all but secure CL football for the 3rd straight season. And, much to the consternation of all the very strange trolls on-line/ across SM, guarantee the manager is here next season. I couldn’t imagine wanting my team to lose to them, on this day, in this game, down to a proper weird hatred of one man. Very strange breed. For everyone else, here’s to having a special highlight in this miserable season and beating the Ev. In what feels like a proper, old school Derby once more with the Blues genuinely thinking they can win for the first time in forever.

Win the first one at the Hill Dicko, and send us bouncing into the summer with another double over them, and many Scouse Reds will forgive a lot of what’s gone before.

Over to you Liverpool. Redemption is in your own hands.

Title Defence Countdown:
16 wins down/ 5 to go. (Adjusted from pre-season target of 27 wins.).
55 points down/ 15 to go. (Adjusted from pre-season target of 89 points.).

Current PL unbeaten run:
P 2 W 2 F 4 A 1 CS: 1
2 Straight Wins.

I get that to the Worldwide fanbase, the biggest game of the season is a week Sunday against Utd. Well arguably the biggest game in World football. But if you are from the City, or still live here, it’s Everton. By a Country mile. There really is NO contest. Bragging rights on a daily basis tops everything. And as Derby’s go, I can’t remember a build up that’s lasted all season like this for the first one at there shinny new home ……

On the Hill Dicko, that was a mixed experience. Great in the stands. Don’t think there’s a bad spec in the ground. S under them. For a new ground, you’d think there’d be great facilities but the toilets were worse than Goodison. Lots of space the concourse, but a mad scrum every kiosk with no queuing system you’d expect at a new gaff. Much easier getting away than Blue mates have been saying all year. Mad getting in when a volley of bottles and, bizarrely, blue paint was launched at us, from whomever had the bright idea to put a home boozer right outside the gap the arl’ dock wall where the away turnies are. 🤬 Before the Matrix quickly intervened and pushed them back. If you wanted to design a football ground that created the potential for flashpoints as people enter and exit, you couldn't have done better.🤦‍♂️ And the oh so hilarious wag the separation to the turnstiles saying ‘Scousers to the right/ Norwegian wools to the left.’ Considering the amount of Irish and Welsh Blues on the walk down from town, that irony was even funnier. Farcical getting your moby to work the NFC the turnstiles too having to hold it in different places the scanner dependent on Android or Apple ‘phones. Massive kudos to the stewards like with some proper gobS above who were lashing ale down on us, and giving it the wall pushing/ faces against fences gestures, when asked what they were going to do about that, informed us ‘We have them on CCTV. Don’t worry, they are getting lifted as soon as they try leave.’ The ‘friendly’ Derby aye?Once it gets developed again down there, it’ll be a lot better. But there’s already more bars popped up than there’s been in decades along the Dock Road. The half-hour walk from town wasn’t as bad as expected. Although the sun was cracking the flags which helped. Play them the winter, with the wind whipping in off the river, it won’t be half as pleasant.

Back to the actual game, and it honestly doesn’t get ANY better than that. One of the best days at the match in years. Not only did L’pool find a new and excessively cruel way to ruin their miserable little existence once more with a 110th minute winner. The fact it was the first Derby there, that we won, in such devastating fashion, will destroy them for decades and something they’ll have no comeback to when they start their bitter narking. The irony of the tannoy announcer screaming about McNeil scoring the first ever Derby goal there, only for that honour to fall to Mo, was delicious and SO Everton! To win with our training goalie in nets keeping a clean sheet, and our captain who was P poor all game, scoring the late winner after the abuse they slung his way ….. You couldn’t have scripted it ANY better! And they deserved it too for the heart and desire they showed all game. Which is what you need most in the Derby. We were the second best footballing side. But by heck we matched their graft and desire to come out on top! The celebrations with the players in front of us the end was like winning a final too. Magical stuff.

The fume among them the walk back to town after was glorious. And town was bouncing all night! Since they’ve finally discovered town for the first time in their existence this season, the Ev’s self appointed ‘Blue Mile’ of Dale Street, the last stop in town before you drop down to walk on the ground, was uncannily a bouncing shade of Red. Even the much maligned manager’s name was being belted out as we partied the night away haha. I said before the game this was a massive chance for everyone to earn redemption for much of the S that went before. We can forgive a LOT if you come out on top in the Derby. And they grabbed it with both hands to become immortal history makers who will forever be remembered for painting the first ever Derby at the Ev’s new gaff RED!!!!!

And in amongst it all, big Virg has pretty much both confirmed CL football once more for a third straight season. And kept some Dutch fraud in a job for one more year at least. The irony of that having a lot of folk as miserable as Evertonian’s this AM is equally as delicious if that means more to you than beating them on opening night. 🙄🤦‍♂️

The City belongs to us again. 🕺🕺🕺 Last season, it did for completely different reasons. And it will again before too much longer as we get back up there at the top of the mountain. But town felt equally as brilliant as winning the league last night having the first win there. You really can’t understate just how massive a Derby the first one there was. You’d probably have to be Scouse and living it on the daily to fully appreciate that sentiment but it was utterly magnificent and hard to top.

Days don’t get ANY better than yesterday. Unmatched joy and despair in equal measure. Because here, in the City that our shared passion represents, it means EVERYTHING!!!!!

Up the history making, Blue life destroying, MIGHTY Reds.

Sigh. One last disaster class before dum and dumber ride off into the sunset. He will want parity on huge wages with the rest and worst of all we won't be able to sell him as no one will pay him that wage. He's been terrible with Van Dijk holding his hand and now you expect him to lead the young CBs coming in/through.

Yeah we will look back at this in hindsight and realise given him q contract when cleaning house would've been better is going to look like a horrible decision. Like I said previously thank him for his service and find a better standard CB on the continent.

I’d like to say I was excited at the prospect of L’pool getting a third straight win and potentially going third this avvy.

But that pails in comparison to the next stage of what the main issue is today …..

Far, FAR more important is the next stage in the war against the continued arrogance of the club over the price hike. We need the WHOLE ground holding up the yellow cards on 13, to represent the 13 % increase at least the next 3 years if they are allowed to set the levy unopposed. Along with all 4 sides telling them what greedy bleeps they are, to show the patronising, arrogant so and so’s that this isn’tthe minority. Get down early and help hand them out if you can. There’s a sign-up through the SOS. But tipping up at flagpole corner around quarter-to-one would be sound. 50 odd thousand cards is a LOT to hand out. And continue to not spend in the ground and leave the food/ drink and programme kiosks as quiet as they’ve been the last 2 games.

This isn’t for you and I. This is for every future generation that follows if they are allowed to get away with this.

This is just the next step L’pool. And things will increase well into next season if need be until you come back to the table. You should know this is the wrong fanbase, and the wrong City, to play with.

Shout-out Freddie Woodman and Scouse you'll probably confirm this but he suited the team and the build-up more than Marmadashvilli. Being quick of his line and not being a bombscare on the ball is more important than a pure shot stopper.

Roaring success that today to have the other sides of the ground united with the Kop. Must have been over 85% of the crowd. 😍 Which both sent out a clear message to Boston, with their condescendingly false line that it’s just ‘some fans’ ….. That right Hogan lad yeah?

And it served its perfect purpose in showing we are all united on this and all in for the long fight. Be it resolved this season or next, we aren’t letting up here. Paves the way for walkouts/ late entry’s/ staying down the concourse et al.

Balls in your court L’pool. This will only get FAR worse the longer you don’t come back to the table.

You should know by now we aren’t a City or fanbase to F with.

Second straight brilliant weekend at the match. Second straight weekend of shorts and sunnies with the sun cracking the flags. Second straight weekend of a real pride filled, battling L’pool display where they’ve rediscovered the lost backbone and mentality that they’ve naturally struggled with this year.

Real day of proper pride and defiance that. Where Anfield, collectively, on and off the pitch, stood up and said a big ‘F YOU! WE’RE NO LONGER HAVING THIS!’ to Boston, a completely inept referee, a Palace team who sportsmanship is not part of their vocabulary. And that massive imposter in sport, adversity itself, that has had them crumble faster than a soggy digestive biscuit on more times than anyone cares to remember this season. Which left Anfield rocking and buzzing again. And everyone bouncing out with smiles on their faces and pride in their team once more. 😊

First off the REAL important business of protecting affordable football for ALL future generations to have the chance to follow in our footsteps …..

If I have one disappointment from yesterday, it’s watching MOTD last night and them not deeming the biggest talking point from the game worthy of even a mention. 😡 Let alone highlighting it! Over 50 thousand people, at a conservative guess, 85 % or so of those in attendance, coming together as one to visibly and audibly send a clear message to Boston that couldn’t have been more honest and unified. That far from the past weeks outright lying spin from Hogan that this is a ‘small minority of some fans’, we are together as one on this against the despicable, fixed multi-year increases with NO review and discussion. Stunningly bad, if unsurprising, from the BBC to leave that off the highlights. 🤬 A stunningly brilliant, unified message from the vast majority yesterday that we are all united against this. Which tested the water, and got the perfect response. And layed down the groundwork for this to roll and ramp-up EVERY game going forward. However long it takes for the tone deaf, arrogant bleeps to come back to the table. As this will roll into next season if need be with no flags on the Kop (The Henry Boston Globe front page one was superb 👏🏻👏🏻)/ walkouts/ stay-behinds/ going in late/ staying on the concourse through YNWA et al, all in the offing. For anyone naively thinking Boston wouldn’t have cared, the one thing they hate more than anything is bad PR. And contrary to the BBC swerve, the World wide feeds covered it great. It’s in many highlights packages on-line I looked at last night. Boston market EVERYTHING off the Kop and the magical Anfield experience ….. Hard to do that when we remove the flags and colour, and protest against their exploitation of that as visibly and audibly as yesterday. With far, far worse for them to the watching World to follow.

It was also very noticeable again just how quiet it was under the stand as more and more people join in with not spending anything in the ground. The amount of food, drink and programmes left unsold the past three home games won’t have gone unnoticed in Boston either.

The ball is FIRMLY back in your court John. You should know this is the completely wrong City and fan base to pick a fight with and try disparage.

And around the brilliant message sent in the 13th minute, was an even louder backing of the team all game in a really good atmosphere to both remind the manager and players this isn’t about them and we are FULLY behind them. And to remind Boston that WE are what makes Liverpool and Anfield such a draw to millions across the globe. And pricing the core, working class support this football club is built on out, will leave you just A N Other generic club with nothing to market.

Balls in your court John.

As for the actual game, that was a very good Liverpool display in the face of an absolutely abysmal showing from the inept bleep in the middle Madley. The amount of times he blew up for non-existent head injuries with Palace out to disrupt and slow the game right down, on more than one occasion when we were breaking through, was infuriatingly frustrating. 😡 To then look at a goalie down unable to stand, waving for assistance, and decide that was sound to ignore and play on through, to let the equal bleep Munoz score, was jaw dropping ineptitude. 🤬 But far from folding at that adversity, as they so often have, L’pool stood firm, defended with their lives, grafted their backside off to keep the points, and gave Wirtz his belter moment in front of the Kop that will have done wonders for him. The same with what Isak will have gotten from his superb, instant control and finish from AllyMacs scruffy shot. Showing exactly why we stuck it out and paid what we did. Ekitike has been brilliant this season with his all around game. But Alex is Haaland-esq when it comes to pure #9’s who’s only bettered across the globe probably by the said Norwegian bagsman. And as if those two goals weren’t perfectly scripted enough, step forward AndyRobbo to give us one more superb memory from the best left full to ever represent this magnificent football club. 😍

I loved that we went bang/ bang too with two quick goals. Something else we haven’t done too many times this season. And some of the lightening, end-to-end breaks were a joy to behold. Baby steps, but some real positives over the past two weekends to take forward into next year as we go again for all the marbles.

Oh yeah, in amongst some superb outfield displays, notably Curtis who was my MOTM. Gakpo, who had another really good outing as he has had of late, battling for, and winning, pretty much everything. Whilst being a constant menace. And Wirtz and Mac Allister who really stepped up. The later benefiting from the rest he and Gravenberch have recently been afforded by interchanging them game-by-game, a new cult hero was born …..

Step forward Freddy Woodman! Who played his own part with some superb saves and assured presence back there. His part in AndyRobbo’s superb breakaway goal alone is deserving of massive props. And he ended up with THREE different songs through the course of the afternoon haha. The proper P take out of Pickford ‘ ….. He CAN reach the crossbar, He’s England’s #1’ was funny as. 🤣 The way he came down the Kop end after all the other players had left the pitch to take his own personal applause was brilliant. Lads absolutely buzzing off having his moment for this club. 😊

I’m hoping against hope that this wasn’t Mo’s last Anfield game. As grim as the hammy looks. So let’s leave that until we know for sure. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

And at the end of this gameweek, we could well be up to third with Brentford having everything to play for at Utd Monday with Europe in their own hands. Here’s to Quive doing us a massive solid. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Brilliant day on and off the pitch. Unified as one.
