Massive, MASSIVE 27 hours or so.

With Chelsea not having Camara as a priority now, along with Mali Gusto’s loan-to-buy move to Atletico collapsing, there’s still solid DM’s and right fulls out there. Along with Minteh , if Brighton get the Millwall lad, still active.

You can turn a pretty shambolic window into pretty darn good one Liverpool with most every major area of need filled.

Over to you ……

🚨 Liverpool made a final push today to sign Malo Gusto on loan, but the attempt ended without success.

The Reds were only willing to consider a loan with no mandatory buy clause, while Chelsea were pushing for a permanent transfer.

Liverpool simply don’t have the financial means to make a permanent deal happen

We have agreed a deal to sign goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans from KRC Genk 🔴The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the Reds and will now return to Genk for the duration of the 2026-27 season 🧤

As an isolated signing, this is superb. Getting in ahead of all the other major clubs sniffing for one of the best young goalies on the Continent. Talking to the Belgium lads the past 24 hours (Side note: Never ceases to amaze me the dedication of Belgium and Scandinavian friends. Lads I’d never have come across if it wasn’t for LFC. But whose friendship will last a lifetime. Lads that come over on the regular, home and away. On average 20-30 times a season. Ridiculous dedication and money spent supporting the Redmen. And many of them have a stronger Scouse accent than me haha. Down to their first introduction to English being brought over to games. It’s funny to listen to them talk. But I digress …..), they are massively high on him. Within the Belgium National set-up they believe he’s on a trajectory to be the next Courtois. (Hopefully without the arrogance.). So to future-proof like that is superb with Alisson winding down. And the young French kid is a real hot prospect too the more you read and delve into that from the French side.

So, in isolation, two brilliant young additions that have really high ceilings to be here for many years. Adding to what Liverpool have been systematically doing now on the quiet for the past few years. Hoovering up the best 17/18/19 year old talents in the Continent.

But windows don’t work in isolation. And we are in dire need of reinforcements for the here and now.

It makes absolutely ZERO sense that we can drop £37 million or so on two kids we won’t see for a season at least. If not longer. Yet we can’t spend a little bit more than that on a top young DM. With more depth going begging by the number of right full options and young wingers turned down. 🤷‍♂️

Can’t dress it up any other way than pure negligence from all involved who have Royally S Andoni. 🤬

But it is what it is. And like Jurgen used to say after every window, we have what we have and go together as one. Nottin’ we can do so constantly narking after today about the window is proper wool behaviour. Support what we have, enjoy the ride, and let’s see where it takes us up until January. When hopefully we have a long term, stable SD running the show. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

First overnighter of the season coming up this Friday. Then into Europe next week. Back on it is all you can do as a supporter and give them your unwavering belief and backing.

Can’t do anything about this shambolic window now. But I sure as heck can play a part in affecting what happens in the games we have to play.

Up the F Reds!!!!!

At least Camara is still very much in play for the new SD come January.
Im still of the opinion that the new people coming in will revamp everything especially recruitment because like you said its been dire. The new SD will probably be an internal hire to hold us over till then. So dont be surprised if Andoni is hamstrung for the entire year.
