Could be. but we are looking at 2-4 months as opposed to 8-10

All depends how serious the damage is, and AFAIK he hasn't had a scan yet, so it's just guesswork from the agent/media.

Yea and Vidic's getting slightly better treatment that I did.

unless he's been particularly unlucky. hopefully we'll hear what grade injury it is soon. How did you suffer yours?

yep, all about the grade, im guestimating based on the average.

Football tournament in Holland. Ruined my tournament and year.

It says on Utd website that he's going to have operation on it. That means it's anterior and not medial. So it's 2-3 weeks before operation and after it 6-7 months before he can start training again.

Must be a bad injury to keep someone like Vidic out for that long. Hope he recovers well.

Be interesting to see who (if anyone) Fergie gets in to replace him. Surely he has to buy in January now

Can see Sneijder joining Utd eventually. If Fergie does try to replace Vidic maybe he might bid for Gary Cahill? He is expected to leave bolton in January with his contract expiring next summer.

True. They'll have to battle it out with Spurs-though I can see Utd being a more attractive proposition for him

Chelsea are also interested in Gary Cahill apparently as AVB is a fan of him. Could be a good battle in January to get hold of Cahill's signiture(sp).

Certainly is going to be very interesting in January to see where he ends up and by how much better off Bolton will be financially

Interesting, Platini's already claiming Ferguson is disrespecting the Europa League by calling it a punishment. Personally, I think UEFA disrespect the Europa League by allowing 3rd place champions league teams to drop into it.

3rd place teams shouldnt be allowed to drop into it.

Wouldn't Cahill joining send the wrong message to Smalling, who was bought for 10m to drop into that CB slot, as he isnt great at RB.

I think the CM is the priority not CB. Just put Jones where he's supposed to be and wants to be and get new CM.

I'd bet it's going to be either Javi Martinez or Rodwell

agreed, drop jones back there, bring in two central mids

gutted, must shown anterior damage on the scan.

Still think Cahill's overrated massively. Decent defender, good on the ball and a good attacking threat, but has been at the centre of the worst defence in the league this season.
