It's just "banter" but i find it hard to see how carragher is wrong, most united fans are thinking it.

How in the ***** **** is Valdez De Gea's replacement when their contract run out at the same time? :D

Never said he was, but some united fans are acting like liverpool fans when they were adamant suarez wouldn't leave them. De Gea leaving for spain in the future just seems like something that will happen.

Think a lot of fans were worried more before LVG and Valdes said that he would be No2 for UTD. Also the latest that he is about to start talks for new contract has eased a lot of fans fears, that Valdes was only signed to replace DDG.

Just hope he signs and plays out that new contarct unlike suarez and a load of other players who sign contracts but still leave the following summer or within 2 years.

Difference is that De Gea is actually quite content, whereas Suarez was itching to move to Arsenal/Barca/Madrid.

I reckon DDG will be here for at least 6 more yrs, maybe longer depending on how successful we are. Also a big bonus his parents who live with him absolutely love stress free England :)

True LOL. But better than being in Spain as there No1 and Madrid No1 with the press hounding him and his family. Can see why he and his family love it here and are settled. Also read somewhere DDG partner is learning English and also likes England. Just a matter of time before she take the step :)

Tbh, De Gea never showed any sign of intention to leave. Till he shows that, I'm confident he'll sign extension.
