Not buying players but we only have two proper fullbacks, tweedle dee and tweedle dum as CB's (Evans/Jones/Smalling) and a lack of quality in the midfield as well as wingers. Ok. If we miss out on top 4 I'll know why.

Not to mention two strikers barely in any kind of form and Wilson.... ha.. we like to make things hard for ourselves, I'm convinced.

Don't forget that in January top clubs don't want to sell their best players unless it's for a silly overpaid price. I think United will sign someone but I don't think it'll be someone like Hummels. However I still I don't think you'll make top 4 this season even if you do bring someone in.
 
Don't blame you, we've been **** for a lot of the season scraping results, our squad has some big lack of quality in key areas. I think the fact of the matter is that last summer we didn't identify and strengthen our weaknesses as much as people like to say, it hasn't suddenly got like this, our defence, lack of fullbacks and injury prone ones we have and no wingers to effectively play a formation which utilises them, apart from Di Maria possibly.

The glossy signings of Falcao and Di Maria definitely overshadowed it, if we hadn't of signed a name like Falcao on deadline day I think it would of been seen as a poor window just when you look at the squad now.
 
Oh and Laporte has a release clause, no real excuse if we want him why we haven't got him. I can just see us buying him in the summer...... ironically...
 
People writing us off 4 top 4 already is silly. Yes we have not been playing great and and we are still not playing great. Yes other teams can play better so can we. Top 4 is no way out of the question like some people are making out.

Tbh high prices for a player will never deter Woody what with his whole gunslinger attitude in the past few windows

utd will get top 4 i have no doubt as much as i hope they dont :P
 
I'm not saying it's out the equation, I just don't see how in any way LVG can be happy with this squad, lacking in key areas.

Nowhere specifically, I'm just questioning the lack of signings, players available or not, there are ones with release clauses and players who would snap at the chance.

I don't see how we're going to progress when we only have two fullbacks, we'll only play 4 at the back a few times and then have to go back to the stupid 3 at the back again because of it.

Lack of signings, who would you like us to sign? And LVG has just said that he is gonna switch formation to create more chances, I can see us playing 4 at the back a lot more than 5 the rest of the season.
 
So Ando is finally off?

A pena in the CL final, mugging off cesc that one time and steaming gerrard at anfield that one time is enough for me to say thak you ando.

I love both Fletcher and Ando for different reasons :) But its good to finally get them gone as well as a few other players this window. Get them off the books and make space for the summer as the rebuild continues.
 
Carrick is out for a month, since when?

Well we nearly went a week or two without an injury, good hustle fellas.


The rebuild is about 3 years too late but at least it's happening.

Agree about the rebuild! Young is nearly back so someone was bound to replace him in the injury room.
