The Manchester United Thread

Its gonna be mad for sure. Think City will struggle after what Quinn said the other day.

Missed it, what was it? NVM seen it,

He's half right, but anyone can see that. Bar the first half pasting against Barca. You'd think we lost by 4 or 5 against both the way the press are making a go of it. On another day Aguero is walking away with the match ball in a 3-2 win. Naieve but not that bad.

Players were fist fighting with Mancini before he left. I dont think they'll pull the trigger on Pelle yet, not without confirmation of the next guy all wrapped up (behind the scenes).

Said something on SSN or SS1 about City being tight with the cash for couple of years due to FFP and that's one of the reasons they are signing there players up to new contracts. Was bleating on how City are crippled by FFP.

Yeah, thats balls, we just signed long term deals with Hart, Nasri, Kompany and Aguero. I think they all got 4/5 year deals as well. Prob more a restructuring on bonuses over flat wage due to FFP but every club should be and will be doing that.

The only restiction we really had was the sqaud to 21 in champs and the breakeven on transfers and we're under that by a few million not counting any fee to come for Sinclair and Nastatic. Due to the club being in profit and the Negrado fee (same as Bonys so Bony was free on the books).

Slightly hampered but already over it. Tight with cash, how much did Mangala and Fernando, Bony cost again? gimme a break.. lol.

As soon as he started waffling I thought he was talking bollocks. Maybe just taking away from the loss on the pitch.

Not every game no. My point is why is LVG getting blasted so much for playing players in different positions when other managers have and are doing it at other clubs week in week out? He does it for a reason and to get the best result. Why is it any different to Martinez or Mascherano playing CB or Lahm playing at CM or Alaba playing at LB or Cavani playing out RW or Ibe or Markovic playing WB or Can playing CB or Zouma playing at DM. Managers do these things for what they think will make the difference in a game to get the better result.

Martinez, Mascha, Lahm are doing great job in their new role and Alaba is the best LB in the world.

Zouma at DM was one off.

Apparently we are interested, he'll be 19 by the start of next season and the Mirror don't mention it but according to the below link he plays as a DM as well as a RB.

Angelo Fulgini - player profile - Transfermarkt

How come every article i see lately linking us with a player says we will face competition from Barcelona? Did I miss something and barcelona are now allowed to buy players again this summer or is it just lazy journalism?

They can buy who they like jsut not register anyone..

i still fail to see where this competition comes from from Barca if thats the case. Sign for us and play, or sign for Barca and be in limbo for 6 months. Im not even they could get away with registering them with the B team. Or loaning them straight out as im sure they would still need to be registered with the owning club (barcelona) and also registered to the loanee.

Yeah with player/kids theater is on about, Barca have form for paying parents as well. its an easy negotiation to tell them to keep the kid where he is for 6 months and we'll come back with a house/job/ontract at the end of the ban .

With lot i'd have Di Maria and Young out wide, Rooney Free, and Fellani as your target man.

4231.

No surprise with us, 442.. but Bony starts and Kompany dropped.. but its leicester.

Old Pelle does like his 442.

Yeah, but you can see why when it works, we steamroller teams... but against the big boys he really needs to pull the trigger and give Fernando and Fernadinho play DMC in the midde with Toure.
