Would want to see Pogba in action in a couple of games after january. Ul about the Carling cup, if they made it through Sir Alex would defo promoted Pogba to play some games there. Looks like he's on his way out of United if rumours are true or Sir alex is preparing him for a breakthrough.

I wouldn't think he would sign another striker but the midfield is lightweight and does need strengthening. That's where I would expect the money to go.
It's also a big worry that a team of Uniteds stature have to play mid-fielders in defence when we have a handful of injuries.
That really shouldn't happen.
That's not fair tbh. We had more than handful injury concerns for that to happen. Rafael, Fabio, Evans, Smalling, Rio were injured when Jones and Carrick played as CB. If you look at Barca, with only 1 or 2 injuries they will play Biscuits and Mascha in defense.
I'm sure if any team had that many injuries to their defenders they'd need a midfielder or two to help cover. Phil Jones can play CB anyway, can't he?

Steve McMahon and Shebby Singh are the worst Pundits in the history of the football! Steve says the situation at United is farcical becasue we brought Paul Scholes back and we have got serious Financial Problems PLUS Shebby says that Paul scholes was average last season his passes weren't upto his standard!
The presenter who is Andrew Leci even said that It might be for encouragement of young players that look A 37 year old is playing,what a professional he is! But No that ******* baldy says it's a farce!
I said it once that Jamie Reeves is only sane person in that panel and he said that it was a balanced performance from United as the wingers and full backs played well!
I was just going to post that about Ravel Morrison that he should look at Scholes and how he is loved at the club! But NO, Steve McMahon who played for Liverpool call himself a ex-footballer;He should look at himself! Footballers don't do this,they know how club works but he doesn't! I for one can't understand how sports channels pay these bastards money which they doesn't deserve!

It seems to me that some of our players don't think that playing for Man Utd is a privilege and just want more money. I'm looking at Pogba, Morrison and now Welbeck :'(

I think there is a lot of media hype over these contract negotiations. You'd be a right *** if you just accept the first wage package given to you. Yes, I agree with you (Puddz) when you talk about privilege to play for such a prestigious club.
But in the economical world we live in, these players see dollar signs and that is all. Let's be honest, Welbeck could easily hold out and wait till his contract expires and 60% of the premiership clubs would give him the 60K a week wages - think about all the times you do this in your FM saves!!

I recently had my own contract negotiations with my firm, many of my co-workers were wondering why I was pushing for higher wages and risking not having a job. There is an old antic-dote "Ask and thou will receive" if you don't ask you'll never know now will you? (I just spent 5 mins looking for the clip when micheal scott askes for a raise and jan says "I can give you 1500 but you have to ask for 1800" but alas couldn't find it)
Welbeck is well within his rights to ask for 60K and I think he deserves it he's done very well on loan and played excellently so far this season.
One thing i will critize is that i believe it's too early to be asking for such a raise, maybe in the summer after a full season with united's first team would suit his cause better, I just hope the suits don't discredit him and let him out the door (CoughRossiCough)

I agree that you should ask for more when it comes to haggling stuff like a contract, but when you're on £15k already, and are offered £45k, it's a pretty good deal imo.
No argument there! You are always going to test boundaries see how valuable you are - it's human nature. It's the media's fault stuff like this gets examined when there is no need to. Quality player I hope he signs and continues to put performances in.
