Not even the issue, they are bypassing Carrick. We've always done well against Arsenal by packing mid with energy. Morgan should have been in there in a 3 man mid. But he wont bench Rooney

You can say that about virtually any CB tbf. Vidic didnt do well again him either. The key was to not expose him to it.

All in all I am finding it very dire all round, Rooney is actually playing alright to his usual standards. Martial doing pretty well and Memphis Depay, whatever his name, pretty poor.

This is all on Van Gaal. Very poor selection, playing Carrick with Bastian is suicide. Everybody said before season that it wouldn't work, he tried that in pre-season games and it didn't work, I don't know why the **** he went with that lineup.
