The Manchester United Thread

We are embarassing and-worse- boring.
Embarassing yes, but I pretty much enjoyed the game, especially the second half when we had 2-3 clear cut chances but were either unlucky or simply blind to finish them. We should have won this game 4-2 or something like that.

What really gives me mindfuck is LVG's half time substitutions and the fact that he really believes Rooney is an improvement on Wilson. Poor lad started a game finally and to destroy his confidence let's substitute after 45 min. Absolutely nonsense.

Hope we bounce back with a win against Palace.

Drop rooney, play martial up top and start youngy vs palace. Simples

And by drop rooney, i mean drop him in the bin.

That's all well and good, but we are still better than 15 other teams when you look at the table. So something must be working.

Would start with this gainst Palace

DDG
Darmian-Smalling-Jones-Blind
Schniederlin-Herrera
Mata-Memphis-Young
Martial

Shots 18th? lmao, I knew we were boring but ****** ****.

Wouldn't have memphis anywhere near the first 11.

Looks like it would be one more draw or loss against Palace. They are doing very well in the league and with the goal scoring form we are in, it's tough to see us scoring.

Hopefully it's Jones and Smalling in the defense. Loved Blind at CB when he played there but with Jones we are more solid defensively.

I won't even hope Rooney gets dropped. It will never happen which is a big shame. Martial should be our #9 with Young as our LW.

Btw, Rooney looked good when he dropped deep to the midfield position which was strange considering he was **** last season in Midfield and was very good when played as striker.

I agree we don't play adventurous football but the passes thing ****** me off. It's just the percentage. For example, only Arsenal played more forward passes per game than ManUtd. ManUtd play more forward passes than City, Chelsea, Liverpool.

Yeah, the backwards and sideways pass stats are always silly. Same stats were always used to **** Mikel, even when he was effective for us. It's the latter two that I was looking at really.

Yeah not a good reading for ManUtd fans. Our attacking game sucks really.

For a manager who cares nothing for what the media says and if a player ***** up he blasts them, why is he so afraid to drop Rooney when he is clearly in the worst form of his life? I mean playing a 30 yr old who is in midfield more often than in the strikers position when we have Martial? ******* joke

He's been moved to the left hand side now...:D

300 mins since ManUtd scored a goal. Very poor performance not helped by Van Gaal choosing Rooney to lead the line who is few second slower to react and reach the ball.

Absolutely boring to watch United these days.

Wow...this is something i'd expect smith to say

You've always been the optimistic one

Not really. I just gave credit where it was due. For example, I was very much against Van Gaal when he used that awful 3-5-2 formation.

Anyways forgot what it feels like to celebrate a goal. We are like Villa.
