We was never ever gonna get Hummels no one was he wants to stay in Germany has always said that.

If the two Europa League games against L'pool are any indication, he'd get BADLY exposed for his lack of pace here.

@Devildart180 his Agent agreed a pre contract with United (that should pay a fee if becomes not contract). That's why i said expected to Be.

It could be as simple has he preferred Bayern to United tbh. And United didnt want to pay 80m Euros. Doesn't need a conspiracy

I wouldn't go as far as to say he'd be a definitive leveller in that regard if you're up against a Champions League club with a similar stature of manager. But he'd certainly make a player's decision that much more tougher than Van Gaal in charge ever would.

For 90% of targets he levels things out. For the other 10%, we'd usually miss out anyway. On a realistic targeting side, he levels things out. Much better manager, removes uncertainty of last year in contract
