Sadly, I can't stay away, been here since like 2010, I feel so old. Probably one of the oldest members now along with you, Tyton, , Sunliv, Vanjagl and the mods.

So why do you keep throwing moodies?
It's a bit embarrassing (unless you are a teenager?).

Well done on winning the fa cup fellas. I'm going to miss Van Gaal though, he was always giving it right back to the press and made it a joy to watch.

Yeah, the journos have hounded the poor guy for like 1.5 a year, he handled it amazingly well and never had anything resembling a meltdown.

Can't wait to see how the meltdown specialist they're about to hire will handle that much pressure.

I don't, it's just when you try to discuss rational, ala Pereira being badly treated, deserving more opportunities this season and bringing up the fact that it's not exactly a stellar attack that he is trying to compete for a spot in this season. It's frustrating when other people think differently and it makes me wonder when he will ever get a chance. (This was the example not a debate I am bringing up again for the record). Then it gets taken out of context by me saying Mata hasn't been that good this season and I am suddenly saying Pereira is better.

Long story, short, it's frustrating when you post and then it is taken out of context as to what your original point was meaning. Trying to bring up a normal discussion that has a valid point to it. It started as a valid point to be made anyway then turns into an argument for no reason because certain people take offence to me bringing Pereira up. Probably because LVG has done good work with other youngsters this season, which I have never said he hasn't.

Key points
  • Mou wants early business and squad in place for Pre season
  • Budget to him is 200 million, he will have final say on targets
  • Players already contacted.
  • MATA and BFS could be sold.
  • Marquinhos,Stones,Aubameyang, Zlatan,Jamez all targets
  • Giggs may be offered a role in backroom staff, he will reject it and leave.

I get your point.
But doing the old "I'm going home, and I'm taking my ball with me" routine never works out well ;)
I've learned to live with the idiosyncrasies of message boards these days and just ignore them.

The new thing is leaving out words before a noun, so it reads like you are using an accent.
"I love going pub on day of match".

You can search back through posts on forums and see exactly when members suddenly started being 'sheeple' and changed their posting style to 'fit in'.

I like your posts zzeezzy, you are a passionate fan.

Appreciate your understanding man and same to you, we have good posters in this thread and others so it's always a good place to have a passionate debate, sometimes it goes over the top (talking about myself here).

The effect of storming off works better in real life ;). But I usually end up going back in the pub not long after so... then again maybe not. :@

That's the worst thing about the internet for us aul lads.
You can't punch people or slam doors.

We just have to get along ;)

Lots of people worrying about Rashford. He will be fine, he's shown he's the real deal, if anything we need a forward to take the pressure off him.

Zlatan or someone like him fits perfectly for this situation. Free, experienced, still capable of performing at the top level but won't block his development.

I think next season they'll be more world class managers in the Premier League than world class players.

Don't usually post twitter related stuff, but this made me laugh, could very well be true as well.

Key points
  • Mou wants early business and squad in place for Pre season - good
  • Budget to him is 200 million, he will have final say on targets - good
  • Players already contacted. - very good
  • MATA and BFS could be sold. -questionable, no resale on BFS, has huge squad merits. Mata only worth if not playing a 10 and you get a storming wide player
  • Marquinhos,Stones,Aubameyang, Zlatan,Jamez all targets - excellent if all interested
  • Giggs may be offered a role in backroom staff, he will reject it and leave - good

Getting rid of Bastian would be criminal. He was marshalling the midfield everytime he played, and still has few good years in him.

A lot of people seem to be thinking that just because Bastian can't run as much as he used to, he's suddenly useless. He can still run for days and cover a lot of ground, he just can't run as much as when he was 27 and basically a human machine. It infuriates me to no end.

Those signings would be great. And tbh none are unrealistic.
James while not unrealistic, wouldn't be very useful unless we are using a 10 AND selling Mata, because using him anywhere but 10 can cause serious defensive problem(vertical compactness is absolutely destroyed)which is why Zidane isn't using him this term(Real use a 4-3-3, without a 10)wouldn't put it past Mou to do it though

My Dream transfer signings would be Domenico Berardi(RW/ST), Ricardo Rodriguez(LB), Marquinhos(CB)and a revitalisation of Adnan Januzaj and Morgan Schneiderlin.

Think Mata would go. Not sure we need Rodriguez tbh. Berardi would be a good signing though. Like Marquinhos! And Januzaj needs to sort his **** out and pronto. Because Mou will move him on pronto if his attitude don't change.

Not a chance would I replace Mata with Berardi.

In fact, unless was a player who can either play across the front at elite level, or across the midfield band at elite level I wouldn't replace him.
