The Manchester United Thread

Seriously. If I ever run into Van Gaal somewhere on the street, I'm not going to ask for selfies or autographs, I'll just ask about the left foot defenders.

Obviously he must have tactical reasons for it, but **** knows what is it about.

Playing Blind obviously helped as he had excellent season but still can't guess the reason. Some of the best possession based teams never looked for combination like that. They just played 2 better ball playing defenders.

Jose mourinho has been in charge for a few hours and I know more about his "philosophy" than I ever did of Van Gaals.

It's for changing the side. When the ball is at the right and you want to switch plays to the left it's easier to have your first ball contact with your left foot and then pass. That way it's also easier for most defenders to look for a pass into the midfield. Think it also has to do with helping your back. If he gets passed through the middle you got the winger on your best side.

Boring boring United. After everyone (not just United fans) ******* on Mou for his pragmatic style, I'm curious if you'll feel the same now that he is in charge of your team. Probably not, as long as the results come, just like we did.

It was bound to happen one day, and it is probably the best transfer you will do this season. I'm 99% sure you'll be back in the top 4.

Can I also go for a cliche? Yes? Thanks.
Next season is going to be the best!

Please dont generalise. I for one wanted him at UTD (and I expressed my incredulity for appointing little Davie Moyes instead of Mou on this here forum) from the first time I knew about him being the winner that he is, which is years ago.

Boring boring United. After everyone (except MANUMAD) ...

You missed the point of what I was trying to say, but nevermind. If anyone else feels wrongly accused, my apologies. I'll make an exceptions list if too many get offended.

Jose Mourinho's first news conference as Manchester United manager will be on 7 July #MUFC

Whatever you said was accomplished even with 2 right footed CBs playing

1. I didnt get offended. I was trying to show you that you shouldnt generalise. There's LOADS of UTD fans who wanted Mourinho to succeed SAF.
2. I realised your point (lay off the sarcasm :P), and what is more it was a valid point to make. Most fans (of ANY team ANYWHERE in the world) are fickle and hypocritical.
3. There are loads of people out there (myself included) who hate the kind of football that, for example, Arsenal plays and love to watch tactical football and/or fast counter-attacking football instead, and would never call any team under MOU boring.
4. Until the Carneiro affair I also loved MOU's character ...
