Wigan playing both Utd and L'pool at home on consecutive days?
Strange situation.
Strange situation.
This makes no sense, you criticised Mourinho for having a dig at Benitez.... bit hypocritical considering how your fans were towards him during his whole spell pretty much.
Not at all when Alcaraz has been steadfast in condemning the majority of Chelsea fans and having nothing but the utmost respect for what Rafa did for Chelsea.
Yes just set my reminder on SkyDid anyone see the MUTV preview of the interview with Mourinho being shown tonight on MUTV at 18.30?
It was a short 30 second clip talking about Ibrahimovic and Rashford, they are both not at the perfect age but when you combine them both together and divide it by 2 they are the perfect combination. Hard to explain if you haven't seen it but very interesting.. whether he plans to play them together I'm not sure, although I got that impression off him but he definitely has high regard for Rashford.
I'm not talking about him in particular but you can't criticise a manager for having a dig at an ex manager when the fans were doing it all a long.
Why not? He condemned them both. How much more consistent could he be?
I think the point Scouse was making is that it was his first press conference. Why start making unnecessary digs at past and opposing managers before the season has even begun? You could understand it if he made them before he was playing Arsenal or Wenger made a swipe but now it just seems he is trying to pick fights when there are none.
And before any of you lot accuse me of double standards, I said the exact same thing when he criticized Benitez for winning Europa League in his first Chelsea press conference.
He might be consistent but you still can't criticise Mourinho for having a dig at a manager when the majority of your fans were doing it all along is all I'm saying. It comes across as hypocritical.
Sorry scouse. I remember when you hoped mou would play rooney in midfield. Boy did mourinho tear that idea with one brilliant quote. Not a massive follower of La Liga. Pako get the job full time at Valencia?
I think you're just narking for narkings sake here mate.
I don't know how anyone can find fault with someone bucking the trend of a manager and majority fanbase who where being disrespectful gobshites toward another manager who pulled that fanbases club together, saved their season, and won them a major European trophy in the process; and rightfully condemning the whole sorry lot of them.
If anything I'd applaud him for taking the higher ground and doing the right thing.
And trust me when I say applauding anything to do with that that football club is not something I do lightly.
Mata is getting sold tho. I think we'll see Herrera feature in the hole.I think Pogba would be the last. so 4-2-3-1
DDG
Darmain Bailly Smalling Shaw
Schneiderlin Pogba
Mkhitaryan Mata Martial

Tbf, he responded to a question asking him about how he would bounce back from last season. He said that he just won the title a year ago and that some managers have gone 10 years without winning the title, some havent won it at all. It was a slight dig but nothing hardcore or heavy. I just watched the video and that Wenger quote was taken out of context.Thats a mild dig. Thought it was much worse.
Obviously Wigan know which game will get the bigger crowd and it isn't for the second gameHey, Rooney still at Utd at all is a big bonus so it's a win/win..
What isn't so much a win/win, and is a complete disgrace, is Utd getting charged £5 more at Wigan for a friendly a day before L'pool go to Wigan paying £5 less. Wouldn't be wearing that.
.....
Just think about it logically, Chelsea fan criticising a Chelsea manager (Mourinho at that time) for having a dig at an ex Chelsea manager who majority of the fans insulted during his whole spell there. How is that not hypocritical or double standards when you are saying... well my manager can't have digs at an ex manager... but the fans can.
Obviously Wigan know which game will get the bigger crowd and it isn't for the second gameA club like Wigan have to cash in where they can to make ends meet. If it means charging more for a friendly because the opponents have a new manager so be it. Simple economics for smaller local clubs even if it does smack of taking advantage of the situation.
I don't disagree with it being disgraceful but you see it happening all the time even in the Premier League the smaller clubs take advantage of the bigger and charge more, Wigan see it as a cash cow due to it effectively being Jose's first game and there will be a bigger crowd as a result. They can probably justify the higher price by saying more security is needed and Gtr Manchester Police don't come cheap not that it matters most of the money will still end up in Wigan's bank.Simple economics my pasty white ****! It may only be £5 per ticket (and another £2 for under fives when it's free in that category the day after), but it's a complete and utter disgrace. The same game, which will doubtless attract the same or similar crowd, against the same standard of opposition.
One would hope the Utd fan groups would be straight onto that and having a go at both clubs. They were pretty quick to join forces with ourselves when Boston tried to pull a fast one the Europa tie and have been very supportive of our efforts in the on going ticket war so they are pretty active.
