The Manchester United Thread

I do it all the time, when Ferguson did it, when Rodgers did it, when Dalglish did it, when Wenger did it. Manager in saying whatever they want shocker. Wasn't even narked in the conference.

FWIW, just having fun with Mourinho now. When we get into the season in another weeks time people will be on short temper leashes so I'll leave well enough there from quoting him or poking fun at him in here.

One thing I REALLY hope though is someone has a word with him before L'pool and United meet and tell him to lay off playing to Utd fans and stoking it up. Which you can well see being as he's just starting out at Utd. It's starting to get particularly nasty again and he or anyone else doing that is the last thing it needs. They aren't the ones that have to get in and out of the grounds in one piece.

Considering you were getting het up with people pointing Klopp, perhaps for the best.

Why would he lay off? Ferguson never did, the players and fans were never anything less than bang up for it, win or loss.

The fire went out of the derby for years, despite us winning most of them under LVG. I expect that to be put right.

You would 'hear hear.'

From Cyprus you no longer have to deal with the braindead tools he'll of wound up even more!

Yeah do us a favour and don't blame him. Tools will want to do it anyway. Ditto those who chant Munich when Klopp gets anfield fired up. Or is it only OK for Liverpool to fired up. He'll fire up the fans because like Ferguson he knows whats needed. Moyes and LVG never got that

If you seriously want to turn this into a club vs club thing I'm not dignify it by enabling you.

Jose wants incoming business done by the 14. You'd have to think any transfers after Pogba will be opportunistic now

Fine. If you want to completely miss/ ignore the original point (which for the record included Mourinho AND anyone else) leave it there.

I didn't miss the point. You talk like he's going to incite them to riot. He will stoke up the fans like any boss who gets the importance of a Derby. Same as he's always done. You've tried to make something from nothing. You said him only in your original post so how exactly did it include anyone else? So tell me again why anyone should have a word about him getting United fans fired up ahead of the games, derbies aren't all about Liverpool any way, got the City boys and both managers have real history there.

'..... he or anyone else doing that is the last thing it needs .....'

How much more clear could that of been?

Jose is no Saint. In fact he can be a right contemptuous sod. But some of the stuff being pointed at him right now is laughable.

You wrote have a word with him, and went on about it for most of your point. So yeah it could be a lot clearer, not that the point is relevant

You could have made it clearer it included someone other than Mourinho by mentioning someone else even in the vaguest of ways. Or inferring, or just not naming one manger only cause I think not even an English doctorate with all their deeper meaning between the lines could figure out you included another manager

Scouse are you really saying that a manager shouldn't fire up the fans before a rival game? Have you gone mad or something? Would you prefer them to say "now now fans calm down. big rival game but dont get too excited. Don't want to create a good atmosphere and motivate the team or something."

Can't quite fathom how Scouse can lose his **** when people point out legitimate points regarding Klopp yet think it is okay to mock Jose in a United thread and sneer about people being on a 'short temper' and retorting back.

Mr Pot, meet Mr Kettle and color yourself black.

No no I forgot, the ideal rebuttal is not one of logic and reasoning but simply 'this is the United thread, gtfo back to your own thread'. That seems something they might be able to wrap their heads around.
