The Manchester United Thread

Just seen an interview with a Polish lad from Anderlecht who is really good friends with Tielmans. He said in the last weeks Youri has told me that Mourinho has contacted me and my people about a possible move. Interesting if true.

James Ducker reporting it now. Great news!

What ever happened to the Lozano to Utd rumours seemed to be a done deal a month ago and now nothing? Mexico are out of the olympics which was when it was supposed to happen

Most probs BS. Was reports the owner saying one thing that is was done then the manager and player saying they had heard nothing. Was suppose to be signing after the olympics had finished. Can't see it tbh maybe if Januzaj leaves and Mou wants to bring in a talented prospect to replace him.

Apparently it is because he would have a ban to serve in Italy due to bookings in the Coppa Italia and so the FA brought it over. Guess he won't be making his debut vs Bournemouth then.

The FA site for checking suspensions is now broken as well. Some solid work there from them.

Doubt he would make his debut on Sunday anyway. Would have thought it would be against Southampton so he can make his debut at OT and he can improve his match fitness.

He would have been off the bench Sunday. Starting next week. Looks like he will just start next week.

That januzaj comment was a subtle dig at Van Gaal. "It I didn't care, I would send him to dortmund where he won't play"

MOURINHO ON JANUZAJ
“He fits in my plans. That’s why he’s on loan, and on loan at a Premier league. If he doesn’t we don’t care about where he is going, which club, which competiion, which manager, and maybe we send him maybe to Borussia Dortmund where he didn’t play one match. We care about him and we think he is in a talented player. But to be in a squad with Memphis, Martial, Mkhitaryan, Young, Mata would mean not many matches. So we cannot be selfish and have to think about the players; in this case Adnan. We see him every week in this country. We can compare performances. He is in the right place with a manager that likes him a lot. We want it to go well because we want him back."

L'pool- Utd moved to the Monday Night in the October/ November TV changes.

Oh.

What.

Joy. :S.

What could POSSIBLY go wrong? Idiots.

I really do not understand him sometimes. Dedicates a win to LVG then takes a subtle dig at him a few days later. Maddening.

More about covering Januzaj's really stupid decision to go to Dortmund. He was very flowery with his praise of him, despite him giving a withering private assessment of what he needs to improve on

All that is well and good, I just don't understand why he has to make a subtle dig at LVG for no rhyme or reason and for semantics sake, if one is to argue that I am being cynical and it was not meant as a dig, why phrase the statement in such a way that allows for the cynical intepretation? No other manager in the EPL seems to have such problems.

Because everyone has already decided whatever he is doing must be a dig or and elaborate plot. A lot of people at the club were annoyed more wasn't done to block the Dortmund move last year. And LVG didn't care much for Januzaj. Kids got a large and fragile mind, and given his strop it's a simple rally round

The simple truth is there are places LVG should get praise as areas that deserved slamming.
