The Manchester United Thread

Jose won an EPL title with Terry, Cahill and Ivanovic in his defense so I think United will be just fine either way ...

I watched pretty much every game, and the defense allowed VERY little clear chances to the opposition. There's a reason why they mostly kept clean sheet even with shaky Romero, so to say they would have been in terrible shape with Mignolet in place of De Gea is just plain wrong.

Of course DDG is world class and he bailed them out many times, but it was nothing like Moyes days where without DDG they would've probably finished 12th or something.

A lot of the goals were from counters since LVG played very aggresive pressing, but that's just something you need to accept if you're playing like that. The team was actually drilled superbly in terms of how they pressed, often they were squeezing the life out of opposition. What they did with the ball after winning it, is another story. All that hard work and high press was wasted, because after winning the ball they just went back to sideways passing for eternity.

Brilliant summing up of it all.

What did he do?

He's not wrong, it's definitely a reaction Ferguson would have.

Just don't fire the female physio or poke anyone in the eye, and we are good.

If Arsenal had spent 30m on Higuain from Madrid, they probably would have won the last season

Something I said a few weeks ago, its very easy to criticize when you will never have the opportunity to do such a deal ever.

Indeed, but the line of questioning prompted it, and then he went on for about 5 minutes on Pogba. He ****** loves Pogba

Think Tyton was wondering about the tactical aspect with Pogbe:

Judging by the latest interview, Pogba is the king, and they will work it to his benefit and development.

The squad make up is actually really flexible so it doesnt impede the rest of the side as a whole

Actually as far as I know Wenger never criticized signing Pogba (Don't know about Klopp at all). He at tops said it was lot of money, but transfer prices are crazy all over.

Also didn't Mourinho already answer to these "negative" comments about Utd signing Pogba last week? What does he gain by this? Feels just bit obsessive to me.

Neither did. Just Mourinho being Mourinho mate.

He get's narked over something, he narks back and try's to be a WUM.

Just chuckle and wait for him to really explode this year.

The professor and the new messiah both made their veiled comments. He made his. Cuts both ways.

"'If you bring one player in for £100m and he gets injured, then it all goes through the chimney.'

'The day that this is football, I'm not in a job anymore, because the game is about playing together.

'That is how everybody in football understands it. You always want to have the best, but building the group is necessary to be successful.

'Other clubs can go out and spend more money and collect top players.

'I want to do it differently. I would even do it differently if I could spend that money.

'I don't know exactly how much money we could spend because nobody has told me, 'No, you can't do this.'

'If I spend money, it is because I am trying to build a team, a real team. Barcelona did it. You can win championships, you can win titles, but there is a manner in which you want it.'
Sounds like Klopp criticising the transfer to me. And claiming that Jose isn't building a "real" team.

Naturally it would.

To anyone else not a Utd fan that would be Klopp talking about how he works when asked if he'd spend £100 million on a player.
