What play by Rooney!!!!!!!!!!! Well deserved goal from Rashford, been superb along with Henrikh since coming on!
 
Nothing less than United deserved. Elmahomedy has to clean out Rooney when beaten.
 
Great by Rooney, made me eat my words. He does still have them moments that you keep on the pitch for I guess.

Rashford and Mkhi have totally transformed this game. Both suit Jose system to a tee.

Fully deserved win in the end.

Should have scored more. Hull were a bit lucky. United's all round attacking play was productive. Phelan has to get a Hull job with just 13 first teamers. I say miracle work.
 
Impressed by Rashford when he came on. Took his chance well.

Shaw was the best United player today in my opinion. Looked really good going forward and defensively.

Impressed by Hull's defence and they created a couple decent chances. If they keep playing like that they should be able to stay up.
 
In my opinion, our starting front four didn't have a good time. No one could get past a defender or make a killer pass to unlock Hull's defence. Martial was the only player we hd last season that could dribble, but he still missing this season.
Mikh and Rashford set our game on fire. Mikh should start soon.
Rooney made a really great play there in the end, fair play to him. I still can't see him as a 10, tho.

We deserved the win, but so hard on Hull. They perform like for the season they will stay up.
 
This was an amazing second half. I was going to post that while we didn't score, it was an exciting end to a game. If this were under LVG, we'd all know that he would just sit back and leave it for the draw. Not this team. Really enjoyed it.

Micki and Rashford need to be in the starting every game, but that would mean (in my mind anyway) that Rooney and mata will be dropped. Can see Mata being dropped, but not Rooney.

Anyway, great game, and mad props to Hull, defended their hearts out. Give Phelan the job!

Joking aside, Hull City deserve a lot of credit. They were realistic, 1 point would've been a great result for them, and they almost pulled off a perfect "park the bus" performance, but it can't be denied that United deserved the win, we controlled the game (although allowed to) and created plenty of chances. Fair play to Mourinho for making the substitutions so early too, really upped the tempo and looked a different animal in the final 25 minutes or so. Marcus' patience was richly rewarded, got his moment to shine and grabbed it with both hands, we'll be seeing a lot more of him after the international break, along with Mkhitaryan.

- 9 points from 9
- Only 1 goal conceded (Martial ball watching in an unfamiliar position cost it, although tbf it was a well taken goal by the Bournemouth lad)
- Numerous competitions coming up after the international break so everyone will be match-sharp, happy, and ready to give 100% if called upon in the league.

Onwards & Upwards ;)
 
Bailly seems fantastic so far, yes he didn't have much to do but the stuff he did do was for the most part exceptional. Especially at winning the ball back quickly, he is excellent at that and getting our play going again with such composure on the ball.

I think him and Blind is perfect partnership, aggressor and cover, they both play their roles very well. Smalling not getting back in this defence any time soon if they play like this.
 
Have to say even if we haven't faced the best attacking teams but only conceding 1 goal from three games is very good. Roll on the Manchester derby
