The Manchester United Thread

Palace, West Brom, Sunderland, Boro, and West Ham.

All completely winnable and I expect nothing less than 13 points from them. If that happens, we are back in business. Top 4 very much on Zzeezzy :)

Surprisingly I pretty much wrote us off after last week just shows you how quick things can change in this league. It felt like a 6 pointer today with that win and taking into account City's loss yesterday.

Huge weekend for us gained points on Spurs, City, Pool. Only 6 off 4th and 7 off 3rd. Two tricky away games next, if we win those I can see us winning all our other December fixtures. Hope Arsenal rip City a new one next weekend :)

On a sad note today after a huge result. The booing of Fellaini warming up is an absolute disgrace! I will admit I've been very critical at times, but will continue to support him even if I think he should not be playing for us. And I would never ever no matter what boo a Utd player wearing the badge of Manchester United.

I think it's worth noting that it was a minority, which was initially followed by louder claps to drown it out.

But my, darmian is pathetic. They guy got burned so bad today that he made Marcos rojo's bread toast look like white bread

Still shocking though. On one of the fan cams one person said there were quite a lot doing it especially in the Stratford end. And said it was loud to start with in the stadium.

To a degree, as poor as it is, I can sort of understand it though. Paying fans, a lot of them possibly made their way to Merseyside last weekend, they thought they were watching their team bag a huge 3 points, only for a simply retarded challenge (I'd be disappointed if a Sunday league player clumsily lunged in like that) from the big clumsy Belgian.

There's not much difference in them booing or me or you saying "sit the f**k down Fellaini" on our computer screens, if I was at the game today, after his antics last weekend, I wouldn't want to see that Afro warming up either, in such a huge game when the scoreline is just 1-0.

If we miss out on the top 4 by a couple of points, a lot of people would look back at that single brain-dead moment. It'll be last weeks news soon, and he will be applauded before the season's out, it's just all the frustration and anger is fresh on the memory, on top of all the nervousness in the air today.

I still wouldn't boo a player though no matter how bad he's been. Just finished watching the whole match again. Rashford seriously needs to sort his head out or something. And can completely understand Mourinho lambasting him during the second half. His touch was awful, Drivbling it out of play instead of keeping it simple when we was under pressure. Silly little shoulder passes that gave away possession. And offered absolutely no help to Darmian whatsoever. And was useless staying with his man today and getting caught out diving in a couple of times. Yes he is a fantastic talent and I love him to bits. And will be great for us but think he needs a few games out.

As good as Mata is, it's proving again that under a Mourinho system the side looks more balanced with Mkhitaryan. As Zlatan doesn't exactly have pace you kind of need it either side of him. With Mkhitaryan and Martial you get that.

Not the end for Mata but more a realisation that it may not go swimmingly for him from here on out if Mkhitaryan is fit. Right now as he isn't I imagine Mata is our only other option so he will get back in for a few games.

In games we're expected to win "comfortably", 4-2-3-1 with Mata in between Mkhitaryan & Martial, behind Ibra.

If we persist (which we should) with the 3 man midfield Herrera, Pogba and Carrick then there won't be room for Mata there either.

The 3 man midfield is only really needed in big games or tough away games, imo. Yeah, I know they're all big games now, but I mean against the big teams.

We won't persist with a 3 we have played a mixture of both throughout the season and certain games. Mata will still be key player for us.

You pretty much paraphrased Gary Neville

Unless you plan on making up a massive 10 goal swing in two games, it's effectively still three games out of fourth given the goal difference/ goals scored.

But a good weekend it's true nonetheless.

How you figure? There's a WORLD of difference. (Unless you'd loudly shout that the game in his direction.).

He's not reading these here boards. (Or it would be one **** of a shock if he is.).

He is, however, having his confidence shot to **** before he's even come on hearing his own 'fans' (term used VERY loosely) on his back. How they expect him or anyone to have a decent game when they're nervous to what they're going to receive is beyond me.

Whatever anyones feelings on Fellaini, that's completely counter productive and pure wool behaviour.
