Enjoyed that :)
Had a cracking HD stream on the Android box, so a few of the mates came over to watch (they brought a shed load of Christmas beer. So I'm sorted for days now) ;)

Mkhitaryan is a really, really exciting player.

Any buzz on who Mou's targeting next? The only thing left on my wish-list is that we switch to a more sustainable process of recruitment that focuses on buying young, hungry players with great talent(ala Rooney and Ronaldo signings).I am not liking this new galactico style approach we've got, it's good to improve our squad for the short term, but in the long term, we need more signings like Bailly who, btw has been a great signing.Seriously fancy Pulisic or Dembele from Dortmund also, we need to find a young back-up for carrick, someone like Weigl would be a brilliant signing. What are you guy's ideas on the Striker position? Is Rashford ready to lead our line or should we go into the market for the right striker?Domenico Berardi looks like a good prospect that we could look at if we do need a striker.
We are already recruiting some of the top talent around Europe look at our u18s there's some real WC potential in that squad bought in over the last couple of seasons. Lindelof will be another great young acquisition along with Semedo from Benfica. Think Griezmann will be our top target in the summer. Bereradi is no where near ready and inconsistent and plays wide like Rashford. We still have a lot of young talent at the club Rashford, Martial, Shaw, Bailly, Tuanzebe, TFM, Williams, Warren, Periera, Januzaj, Wilson, CBJ. Our squad is very well balanced age wise atm.

Thought West Brom held on for the point, jammy ba****ds Arsenal.

there luck will run out. Had it on at the same time and they were dog ****!

Just a quick special mention to Herrera. Another very good performance! He's the glue in CM does everything sets the press, Links up play, Creates chances, good defensively. Really turned into a top CM under Mourinho!

With the officiating I've seen lately, I'm not one bit surprised.

Which is great but where's the manager to play them?

Take this Swede. You have Bailly who's looked promising. Smalling, who regardless of what I think of him, you personally steadfastly claimed he was the best centre half in England last year. He's only what, 27/28? What should be the prime of his career. Daley Blind who's a very competent centre half. Rojo and Jones. You add Lindelof into the mix and he's going to play at that price. So even if you dump someone else, that's still 4 centre backs at least. You, like myself, really rate the talent of Tuanzebe. He's now 19 going on 20. Where does he get any games? Mourinho's talking a good game about liking this youngster and that. But his words are FAR louder than his actions. Why sign another centre back for more big money when he's not needed and who will just be another body in the path of someone like Axel?

To a lesser extent, the same with the Monaco DM. If TFM is as highly skilled as we often read on here (and he's always impressed the bride time I've seen him for what that's worth), why would you not want him to be given a good look at being Carricks long term replacement? With maybe Blind in there with him covering the role?

Now there's nottin' wrong in splashing big to build a squad. I just find it really ironic that there's some real talented youth at Utd, along with a string squad if coached right, and yet he's still the archetypal cheque book manager that needs another couple of windows massive spending to have his squad. (All after the Rafa-esq cringeworthy 'youth list' bollocks he opened with.).

Its quite obvious Mourinho doesn't rate Blind as a CB and only see him as a squad option. And I'm not sure if all Jones, Rojo or Smalling will survive the summer. At the end of the day it doesn't matter what people think of players in here, it's what the manager thinks and sees in training. As for Tuanzebe and TFM there's still plenty of time for them and no need to rush them. Let's see what the future brings for them.

Which is sound but the pathway has to be there at 18/19/20 and beyond if you really believe in them.

Right now it isn't outside of talk. But that's Utd's concern. Just an observation.

What a goal by Miki. Seemed offside though, but what a finish.

As a fan and not a shareholder, or concerned parent.
As long as we are getting results, I couldn't give a rats **** if we put out 11 of the best imports our scouts could find world wide, or 11 of the local kids picked from the families who drink in the Bishop's 7 nights a week.

Anybody who says otherwise is talking internet bollox.

At the end of the day it's results that matter to me! Yes it's good seeing kids come through, which we do anyway. But it's not the be all and end all.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan still outside Old Trafford in the freezing cold signing autographs. Suppose you would after a goal like that.

As he should as I thought that experiment was ridiculous. He's a utility player, period.

Some great goals that game. Metal Mickey's shouldn't of stood like but still World class technique. Blind was a fantastic take. Great composure. And Borini webs that in the end.

Great entertainment the goals at least.

Yeah the idea this pathway doesn't exist is somewhat rubbish tbh. It's the current first team options that are under threat, not the youth progression
