Mourinho also said that if Utd won the first leg he would of likely played TFM and Tuanzebe tomorrow. But now will likely not get chance or get just a few minutes, depending on how the game goes.
 
Tbh this is the best chance we'll ever have at winning Europa, the only two teams I slightly think can cause us a problem or two is Ajax and Lyon. But in reality they are both not at the standard that they should beat us over two legs. (In the Semi Final anyway). In a final anything can happen, but I'd still fancy our chances.

Ajax worries me more than Lyon to be honest, just their identity and the way they play, may cause us problems. But Mourinho is smart enough to know how to prepare for an intense team like that.

It just casts my mind back to when we played Bilbao and got schooled in football.
 
United are a strange beast, in the last 3 three weeks alone, we've shown that we can be bested, and that the best cant live with us. Up to the players to channel more Chelsea than Anderlecht
 
Also zero interest in Aurier. Get the multi-talented Fabinho instead

For that alone I've never understood your season long nark about being in the Europa League and wanting out until recently.

Utd have a chance to win all three European Majors. Only Ajax, Bayern, Juventus and unbelievably, since Russian money tipped up, Chelsea have achieved that. L'pool really only look up to two clubs in UEFA competition. Madrid and Milan. They can no longer do that since the Cup Winners Cup is no more. (Which kills me as I'd of LOVED to of had that set.).

So not only can Utd join a VERY select list. You can get one over your greatest rivals that can never be matched!

Baffles me that you didn't want that BAD going into the season aside from anything else.
 
Yeah, Mourinho would be dumb if he didn't go balls deep for Europa League now. The competition is really soft compared to how it was in recent years, Ajax or Lyon are solid teams, but last year in this stage you'd have to deal with Bilbao, Sevilla, Villareal and Dortmund....

Yeah really hope we go for Fabinho. But if not would be happy with Bakayoko and Aurier. Also the top 2 tabs in France today are saying we leading the chase for Matuidi. I know some don't like him, but I've always been a huge fan. One of the best BTB if you ask me. Thoughts Mike? Price being quoted 17m.
 
I said at the start of the season, that if we got through the overlong group stages, we should absolutely target it. We've got a brilliant chance to win it, and that shouldn't be wasted.
 
Yeah Lyon definitely being underestimated on here. For me, they're better than Bibao, Villarreal, etc of last year.

Don't quite understand how you don't think Lyon aren't better than those pair and numerous others. Not quite Dortmund & Sevilla's levels, but you're definitely selling them very short. Serious firepower
 
10-15m for Matuidi is a ******* steal, he might be 30 years but still has great physique and can definitely help United
 
matuidi would def be a great signing. a three of matuidi-pogba-herrera would be solid.Mourinho will for sure look to add a strong midfielder in the summer.At least 5 arrivals i think.
 
I am so curious about the lineup tonight, will we see Zlatan back? Shaw to play? Mkhitaryan? Martial? excited!!!!!!!
 
As good as Matuidi is in what he does, still need to sign a controller. Someone who dictates the game like Carrick does. Think Kroos, Veratti, etc
