The Manchester United Thread

Both teams happy with the result I guess. Arsenal game is shaping to become a battle of the century. Mourinho can put the final nail to Wenger's coffin, but Wenger can certainly put some first nails to Mourinho's coffin too. Bring popcorn.

Does anyone really think Wenger's not gonna' sign the two-year deal on the table regardless of what happens the rest of the way?

Fellaini is a ******* idiot. Regardless of the straight red, as soon as players go head to head its normally an automatic yeloow card each, so Fellaini was walking either way. So now we are literally bare bones in midfield. Not even like we have the option of putting Blind in there given the defensive injuries. Now TFM out aswell who was pretty much the last option.

Fellaini and Herrera would have been enough at home to Swansea allowing Carrick a rest and more importantly giving Pogba another game rest. That sending off has ****** us up in so many ways. Even more annoying is it makes Fellaini an almost certain starter against Celta in both games given he's not gonna be playing in the league.

Smalling and Jones need to pull their fingers out of their **** sharpish. How can Gabriel Jesus break a metatarsal and be back in a few weeks but ******* Laurel and Hardy injure each other and are nowhere to be seen in a crisis? Have a ******* injection and play through a bit of pain. Even one of them back would allow Blind to cover midfield.

My player ratings of todays game..

1. Mkhi, Martial and Fellaini were really poor today imo.

2. Bailly was immense today, Carrick was really good as well

3. The rest did a great job defending, especially 2nd half.

4. Pogba and Zlatan could've been really really useful today..

5. From that 2nd half I am glad we took 1 point with us today!

You guys are being a bit unfair to the big fella. Yeah he's a moron and it was a clear red, but Aguero's entire act was some next level Holywood dramatics. Bait, dive, and hope the other guy gets penalized basically just for being taller. **** like that shouldn't be allowed.

I thought Martial was superbly disciplined in protecting Darmian and worked his *** off personally. Not his fault you set out for a point and he didn't get much to show anything going the other way.

His frustration at his night was pretty evident when he was subbed.

Yeah, agree.. just stupid by Fella to fall for it, every time.. :(

Doesn't help that his afro exaggerates his head movement. I have no idea how he gets to keep this haircut, if I was a manager I would say he either shaves that monstrosity or gets the **** out of the club. If you're going to be a thug and manhandle people, at least try to blend in for god's sake.

I don't know if martial was poor but I could tell that he didn't like the defending.

Every top 6 team has a higher points total than at this stage last year.

Surprised that Mourinho has never given the Catennacio a run with 2 athletic wing-backs. Valencia would be to top wing back and Shaw might still pull it off despite a physical decline. It would mean that Blind could start as a libero and his lack of athleticism won't be as exposed. Given the lack of midfield quality at United, it might be perfect. Could take advantage of Pogba's athleticism and Hererra is suited to playing in the midfield of a catenaccio. It would mean that the wide players will be required to contribute less defensively. United already have the perfect outlet: Marcus Rashford.

He did something similar vs chelsea.

Seriously though, United schedule for last part of the season is stuff of nightmares. Chelsea, City, now Swansea who are fighting for their life, then Arsenal who are fighting for their life, then Spurs who are fighting for title. Full respect to Mourinho if he actually manages to navigate through this horror and stay in contact with top 4.
