The Manchester United Thread

what a bad day all in all.more injuries and dropped points.fingers crossed city and pool lose but i doubt it

That was fecking auwful! Swansea way better team and we was lucky to come out with a draw tbh. Yes I understand injuries and fatigue etc. But our overall play was dog ****. Especially in the final 3rd again! Lingard and Rooney offered nothing all game going forward. Martial was most probably our most dangerous player. So frustrating to see him and Rashford beat a man then just run into about 3 players and lose the ball. And Rashfords decision making and final ball were wank today. That really was a bad result for our top 4 hopes.

Very disappointing and somewhat inevitable given the injuries and schedule etc. that was going to be a somewhat mediocre display.

But just to be a bit retrospective: --

Chelsea at Home

Burnley - Away

Man City - Away

Swansea - Home

----

We would of all took 8 points out of 12 from them 4 games. Still 2 points lost today obviously but top 4 is still on. Although with the more injuries we get, it's going to be a matter of prioritizing for Celta Vigo or Arsenal.

No less than Swansea deserved.

All the empty seats from around 80 baffles the living **** out of me. Early Sunday game. So no rush for trains/ beating the traffic. And more pertinently, your team is drawing in a must win game for the CL. Never understand that. Not least with the price of going the footie now.

A lot of people don't deserve to go the match.

Because neither are truly good enough for United we have aspirations to win stuff.

Rooney cost us with a stupid *** foul for that free kick that they scored from.

i still think it was a harsh freekick for their goal but rooney is a shadow of the player he once was.no future for him here

I'm more saddened by the injuries in truth. Bailly has been so massive and without him, idk if we have enough for even the europa league. We're basically going to play 2 full backs in defence from now till the end of the season.

You never know maybe one of Jones or Smalling will finally realise that their injuries can be ignored enough for them to play. With any luck Bailly has only got a knock and decided to come off before making worse after all he did try to play on unlike Shaw who seems to have developed legs of glass since arriving at OT.
Hardly has legs of glass lol.

The Scousers will be happy if it ends that way and even if they then manage only a draw vs Watford.

Be ecstaitc regardless.

Provided Arsenal don't beat 'Spurs later, the top 4 is back in L'pool's own hands.

To have the top 3 and the coveted automatic qualification place in our own hands too would make this a fantastically boss Sunday.

All you can ask for. Controlling your own destiny.

*Edit* 1-1 City now. Which still works well.

Citeh seem determined to keep the CL place competition close if this keeps up United will eventually take one of the chances and dump them in the Europa league places.

With the number of players on the treatment table, i struggle to be optimistic

Good result for us city drawing, top 4 very much open.

But it in many ways will add to the quandary of how we prioritise this coming in the Celta Vigo and Arsenal game.

I actually think other teams dropping points when we do, or us not subsequently capitalizing on dropped points, is more frustrating than being punished for dropping points.

There's really not much to prioritise since we pretty much only have 11 "fit" players.. :(
