although on a more serious note with our height we should be doing a lot better from them
 
Perfect time to score, hope this opens the door to put a few more past them early in the second half.

Our height is going to be a big asset this season, now it's a typical Mourinho team.

This could be the difference between a very furstrating day turning into a comfortable one. If we grab another in the second half should be as good as done.
 
Not a good half, but a lot of that been down to the gritty man-for-man job Swansea are doing, was almost a perfect half for them. No space between the lines, Blind doesn't offer the overlap/support for Rashford (need Shaw back ASAP) - however, we got the goal; something we weren't doing last season, let's make sure it counts for 3 points!

Break out fast in the second half, get a second. Clement will want them to start quickly and aggressively. Try and hit them with a fast counter and bury the game, then hopefully try and pile on the goals

The left back not overlapping shows why we really need Shaw to get back, or sign a new left back in Jan. Blind is doling well, but when they are they organised, you need that overlapping thrust, not just for the width, but also another option they have to defend, creates space. They either let them cross in unmarked, which you cannot do with a team this tall now, or move to cover and leave space in the middle

When you defend hard, you need to break and take chances. They have failed to do that. Now their gameplan hs gone out the window. They have to expose themselves now.

Will be watching Shaw and Toung closely tomorrow night. Gonna try and get down for the game work permitting.
 
grinding out results against teams who will get everyone behind the ball is needed to win things so a one nil win will do nicely
