The Manchester United Thread

I thought Alf hated United?
More like Roy Keane ;)

Got subbed off after 60 mins. Nearly added a couple more. Is a beast of a young lad and a leftie. Honestly looks like a mini Lukaku. We will defo sign a STR or 2 for the u23s/18s this summer. Already playing for the u19 national side also.

Player said after the match when asked. “It’s nice there here to watch me. I just need to concentrate and do my best.”

Ole Gunnar said. “The time is not now to talk transfer. He has some more big games coming, and the u19 int games. Then the time will be for the talk.”

United Will announce their third signing of the summer transfer window this week. Lee Grant from Stoke City.

Really odd, to me anyway, I'd prefer a young United GK as 3rd choice, but that's just me.

Think the thought is they want the young keepers to play. So may as well sign someone who is homegrown to be third choice and not play instead.

Exactly! Henderson, Romero, O’Hara all to talented to be playing u23s or to be sat as 3rd choice in the squad. That’s why loans have been agreed by all. Plus Romero injury. Just makes perfect sense.

Darmian has confirmed he’s got three offers on the table from Italy. Says the door is open now for him to choose. Expect him and Blind to be gone shortly.

Quotes from Times interview with Rashford on not starting and Jose-

Rashford on not starting regularly at #mufc: “Every player will tell you it's always frustrating when you don’t start. You have to look at the positives - you get 2 extra days' training. It's not stopped me developing. If it had stopped me developing then it's more of a problem. I’m still getting plenty of minutes.”

Does Jose explain? Rashford: "He has 20-25 players. Everyone has different attributes & suits different styles so finding the right balance is a tough job for a manager. He got it right most of the time last season but we need a bit extra to push for the title.” #mufc

Januzaj confirmed in an interview yesterday Utd have redemption clause. Whatever that means. Said he would be happy to come back to Old Trafford.

Sadly I don't think he'll ever make it back, he's a great talent but still a long way off when it comes to overall game.

Depending on the cost of the clause could see us buying him back and then just selling him right away to make some money but he would have to improve for that to be an option.

Had a good season just gone. Maybe a late bloomer like Lingard. Wouldn’t mind him back for good price.

Another good game from Lindelöf. Started the move for the goal. Never put a foot wrong again and good with the ball. Made BBC team of the group stages.

Officially gone. About time. Good keeper but needed to leave. Getting 10m in total is a great deal as well.

Sam Johnstone has signed a four-year deal at The Hawthorns...#WBA https://www.wba.co.uk/news/

Also Tosin Kehinde held talks today with Notts Forest about a move away.

He's been good, wonder if it's because it's at a slower pace than PL majority of the time or there is proper leader beside him in Granqvist. Probably a bit of both.
