**** performance **** selection no pace no movement no creativity no quality! Can see why morrison and pogba left now never gonna get a game ahead of giggs n scholes, dont know why SAF keeps persisting with them what must cleverly and anderson be thinking.

Carrick-Giggs midfield pair when we have meaningless game in the midweek and Anderson/Scholes on the bench who had all week rest.

Valencia is so poor, shame he never gets half the abuse Nani gets. At least when Nani is not on top form he still creates chances, but out of form/ confidence lacking Valencia is shocking player.

Again proves what a superb player Rooney is, without him we look so clueless..

Valencia was just as poor, he's very one dimensional and appears to have lost his confidence to go past his man. Giggs should not be playing in a two man midfield but he still has something to offer. We seem to be really struggling to create from the middle and I think that's where you can see we miss Rooney. There's no link between the midfield and attack today, forcing us wide and our wingers have been poor recently.

Really dont know whats happened to valencia and young in that matter why dont they wanna take on there fullbacks anymore.Would defo not give giggs/scholes contract extention imo!

I see people are complaining about a lack of a ball winner in midfield. I heard a quote from Fergie in the summer saying how he didn't think we needed one as players like Iniesta and Xavi and a few others cope fine with the physical battles that football demands. I felt someone should point out to him that Iniesta and Xavi normally have Busquets, Mascherano or Song behind them. I don't understand why Giggs started when we had Darren Fletcher on the bench.

Valencia, while very effective at what he does, is one dimensional, teams know to just pack the box when he gets the ball, and it gives them a good chance of clearing his crosses. And I still can't understand why we spent £16 million on Ashley Young in all honesty.

Could have played fletcher or ando instead of giggs in this game and playedthe OAPs in mid week when did not mean anything if fergie wanted to keep the oldies happy and give em a game.

Young is a very good squad player, last season before he was good scoring and assisting important goals.

But yeah spending around half of what we spent on him would have solved our midfield problems. Should have spent that on Vidal.

Where did all the people hailing the decision to bring Scholes out of retirement as a genius move go? Not sure why he's being lumped with the blame, he deserves a place in the squad. A far more pressing issue is that none of our wingers are in anything resembling form. I doubt we'd have won if Anderson played over Giggs or not with the way Young and Valencia played,

Nani is out of favor with SAF. so no luck . What I don't understand is with a pretty much dead game in the midweek why on earth would SAF put 4 of his best CM on the bench and start with someone who is not a CM???

You're right though Nani is infuriating he is probably the only winger we have who can create something out of nothing.Imagine how frustrated and angry cleverley would be feeling right now.He has done nothing wrong but still.......

Not saying I agree with Giggs starting, but it's tiresome to see him scapegoated for every loss. Just as Nani gets scapegoated when Valencia plays just as bad. Very few of our players played anywhere near their potential today.

Yeah, but when he starts in midfield 2 our performance level goes down. With Carrick and Giggs we lack dynamic midfielder, that's the reason why people gets so frustrated with this pair.

I dont think it's after the loss, when the line up was announced with Carrick Giggs midfield, many expected this.

Yeah our wingers form is really worrying. Most of out game flows through them, with them in this form it is really worrying. Need Rooney back asap too.
