People dont tackle badly for 18 years of a professional career if they're secretly ok at it. Scholes would be almost a complete midfielder if he could tackle well, so any suggestion that he knows what he is doing is absurd.

Sure, sometimes you just have to tackle, but most of the time its simply personal playstyle. Some players will do it a lot, others will rely on positioning. I barely recall Maldini doing any tackles , not because he couldn't do them well, but because it breaks formation and always has a risk of booking.

Wouldn't mind him at all, infact I'd be very happy if we got him as Scholes and Giggs are 99% in their last season. But I won't be holding my breath because we had all summer to go for him.

Apparently Strootman's agent said his main priority is to play in England.

Was dissapionted in clevers tonight started very well but faded just as bad but would still pick before giggs/scholes,rooney was dire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Giggs/Scholes shouldn't start a game again if Cleverley/Anderson/Carrick are fit to play imo. Definitely think Scholes/Giggs are liabilities now and we need to address this in January.
