The Manchester United Thread

Will be interesting to see the formation for the next game, safe to say it probably won't be 3-4-3. He clearly got smart and realised that the easiest way to get out of the job was to get sacked by not to sutble digs at his direct bosses.
If Fletchers in charge it will be 4231 as that’s what he’s coached and played at various age groups at Utd. Only problem is we got rid of all our wingers 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

It will be 4-3-3 and will keep us on the edge of our seats.
They score 2 we score 3 etc...

Watch this space.

I don't care who the interim is to be honest, it's the permanent replacement which will be more important. Maybe it's time to go for a total wide ball and not a big name or the latest 'flavour'. Oh and definitely not Southgate!

Interim will be Carrick, McKenna. Then if there going for a manager to suit the squad then Glasner. If there going for there mate it will be Maresca. If I had a choice Emery

Carrick is more likely than McKenna as interim I doubt McKenna will want to leave Ipswich even on a temporary basis. Emery would be ideal, great at working with egos and good at encouraging players to improve (Sancho excepted but then we all know how much of a mess he has made of his career so far) but would take some work getting away from Villa.

Actually... Looking at the available players, 4-3-3 wouldn't make sense.

What about a 4-2-2-2 box with Ugarte and Mainoo as a double pivot?
No Bruno... So 2 narrow attackers creating from the midfield in Cunha and Mount

Lammens
Dalot – De Ligt – Martínez – Shaw
Ugarte – Mainoo
Mount – Cunha
Zirkzee – Šeško

I'm available in the summer.

Ladies and gentlemen. Wow. What a crowd. Incredible crowd. Some people are saying the best crowd they’ve ever seen at a football press conference maybe ever. Believe me.
I’ve just landed in Manchester, and let me tell you beautiful city, tremendous potential, fantastic rain. And today I am officially taking over Manchester United. Huge club. Massive. Some say the biggest. I’ve looked at the history trophies everywhere. Gold. Silver. Winning. We love winning.
Now, we’ve had some managers before me. Nice people. Some of them tried very hard very hard but not winners. Let’s be honest. There was Moyes good man, but not quite tremendous. Van Gaal very serious guy, very serious, loved spreadsheets more than goals. Mourinho interesting character, says nice things about himself, not always about others. Ole fantastic smile, wonderful smile, but smiling doesn’t win titles, folks. And Ten Hag smart guy, very smart, but we’re done with experiments. No more experiments.
We’re building a new stadium. A big one. Not one of these tiny little places. This stadium is going to be the most incredible stadium you’ve ever seen. Bigger than Wembley. Louder than Anfield which isn’t hard, because half the time they’re quiet until the song starts. It’ll have the best seats, the best roof, probably a gold roof. People will say, “How did they build something so beautiful?” And I’ll say, “I know builders. The best builders.”
Now let’s talk about the competition. Jürgen Klopp nice guy, lots of energy, always shouting. Always shouting! Very emotional. Some people say he needs a nap. Pep Guardiola very clever, very shiny head, always spends billions. If I had that budget, believe me, we’d have won the league already. Pep without money? Not so scary, folks. Not so scary.
Under me, Manchester United is going to win again. We’re going to press. We’re going to counter-press. We’re going to press the press. The media won’t know what hit them. The players? Strong. Fast. Loyal. If they’re not loyal gone. Very simple.
This club is about greatness. Tradition. Glory. And under my management, we are going to make Manchester United great again. You’re going to get tired of winning. So tired.
Thank you. God bless football. God bless Manchester United. And God bless the Premier League because it just got a lot more interesting.

#mufc are looking to appoint a manager with Premier League experience to succeed Ruben Amorim in the long-term.

Waiting until the summer to make that appointment allows them to consider managers who may be available after the World Cup, including Mauricio Pochettino, Thomas Tuchel and Carlo Ancelotti [
