The Manchester United Thread

There's a post on reddit about this, and the best reply I've seen that should put a smile on most people's faces,

"So Ryan Giggs won?"

It's just breaking on the radio now and some of the papers online are reporting it aswell

I've only heard Collymore call it breaking, who has about as much credibility as Robbie Keane declaring his favourite club. Jumping on the bandwagon from what The Times said ages ago.

What I thought too but it was confirmed by a Utd spokesperson and Goodison chiefs confirmed Moyes is leaving the club. the appointment will be confirmed by a goodison journo shortly aswell. Its happening

End of a footballing Era :'( one of the saddest days in recent Football history!

Seems very odd that Gill would give an interview to MUTV saying the next man would need European experience if it's Moyes. Heh.

Don't know who it was or whatever tbf, but it's happening. I knew it would happen at some point, but doesn't get rid of the sickening feeling in my gut. The fact that DM was told there's going to be hardly any cash for next season pretty much swayed it aswell by the looks of it. Dread to think which players won't be staying aswell

Heartbreaking news this, found out at work this morning, The day had to come eventually so leaving on a high it probably is the right time to go, My Step son is going down to the game against Swansea so that will be a memorable game for him that he can never forget.

The man is a total genius and his achievements go back before Man Utd like Aberdeen & St Mirren.

Good luck to whoever takes over because they have big boots to fill. Mourinho has always said he wouldn't take the job straight after Ferguson, Jurgen Klopp would be a good shout as well as Moyes.

I've been warning you of this day for ages tbf! :P

Seen a fair few Everton fans say they're glad to see the back of him. What more do they expect of him when he never had a pot to **** in?! Lot of United fans already seen set against him. He's Fergie's man, and remember how he started out..He's not my first choice, but if he doesn't get fully backed (though I'm sure he will) this transition will be a nightmare.

Just seems remarkable that at one point SAF was on the verge of losing his job. Then bang. CL winners, 20 titles....just absolutely incredible

Doesn't make it less painful lol. The Everton fans saying that are simply put ungrateful morons and I find them quite frankly an embarassment to my club. They're not worthy of the privelage of being in the ground

Well, Schmeichel just confirmed it and he is club ambassador

@Pschmeichel11m
Oops, I might have jumped the gun a bit saying Moyes is confirmed. I was reacting to The Times Sport tweet that I retweeted before. Sorry!!

:)

Thanks Peter you muppett!!!! XD

I stand by earlier post though. I'd be happy to see Martinez take over. Very talented young manager and will have a very good squad to work with aswell. Even though some people want Big Sam oO) So once the pain goes away, looking forward to seeing Roberto take over if he's given the chance
