The Manchester United Thread

Latest out of Manchester is that Nike are desperate that United sign Ronnie back and will help fund a move to bring him home

Heard that around 4 months ago, and if it hasn't happened by now, I doubt it will.

That's not the latest. That's not even old news. It's so stale you could use it to feed ducks.

Rumours going round we have agreed a deal with Bologna for midfielder Saphir Taider subject to personal terms and medical. Honestly who is this guy and is he any good?

Talented young all-rounder. Good player, remains to be seen whether he's top level yet.

Not better than any 3 we have already .A good rotation player i believe.

That's deflated me... although having said that he's only 20 so he could be better than Anderson and Cleverley I would like to hope with his potential in the future. Or else I ask why have we even gone for him. (If the rumours are true).

Gives me the impression that it's a replacement for Pogba. That was my immediate thought.

Nowhere NEAR as good as Pogba. Pogba's well on his way to being one of the best players in the world. Taider is talented but occasionally flaky and needs lots of support.

Just about sums it up. He's not better than Carrick, might be on a par with Cleverley, but is probably better than Anderson give the latter can't even heave himself onto the field without his leg imploding nowadays.
Killing United fans' dreams gives me a *****

Ando if fit is 5 times better than him seriously but fit is the issue. The guy basically sits around the half pass around and tries poor killer balls and yes he can dribble a little bit.Yes he is young and can develop but seriously he is nowhere united material right now.Moyes has a eye for talent though.A good manager can bring the best out of any player.

I still blame Fergie's stubbornness for that.... there was clearly more opportunities he could of had in the first team than what he was being given. Fergie doesn't make many mistakes... but that unquestionably was a big one.

Still clearly so upset we took Young from you that you have to troll us all.

I dont know who is trolling him or you .Selling him to us was the day he masturbated all over us .God dont even remind me we have still have young !

Someone here said you're a d!ck (or something in that category). I completely agree :)
He's not a **** for joking and banter. Thats fine and I enjoy it. ****, we will never sign central midfielder again. I think we will buy winger that Victor Fisher is, and convert it to central midfield role.
However, he's a **** for being ignorant from time to time.

Just saw this on the united homepage and it actually made me laugh that the editor gave permission for it to be included in the paper, it is so far fetched that it belongs in the works of fiction isle at Tesco.

The Daily Star’s Duncan Wright reports...
United on the brink of Ronaldo reunion
United and Real Madrid have spent the past 12 days negotiating an £80m package – and the Premier League champions are increasingly confident of getting their man. David Moyes made his move two weeks ago when the club heard through the grapevine Madrid had stepped up their interest in signing Gareth Bale. And for the first time they found their Spanish rivals prepared to negotiate after the player told them he would be interested in returning to England. New United chief executive Ed Woodward made contact with Real president Florentino Perez in the knowledge Ronaldo had yet to agree and extension to his current deal at the Bernabau which has just two years left to run. “United and Real Madrid have spent the past 12 days negotiating an £80m package for Ronaldo” Starsport understands Perez then sought assurances Ronaldo would commit to the new deal – and was stunned to learn he was keen on returning to Manchester instead. That forced them to open up to United’s advances, knowing they would only get a fraction of the fee for one of the world’s best players if he stayed another season. It also explains why they are prepared to break the world record to ensure they clinch the signing of Bale in an effort to appease fans worried by Ronaldo’s departure.

How is it far-fetched? Ronaldo has been linked with a return to Man Utd all year, and it makes sense as to why they are putting up stupid money for Bale. He's to replace Ronaldo.
