Not sure what theatricality has to do with it. Simulation is simulation whether it's theatrical or not. I've given Welbeck as an example of someone who would probably do the exact same thing in young's position.I said others do it, and others will continue to do so but not with the regularity or with the same theatricality of Young. He has done it his whole career. It is rife but if players aren't singled out for it then it is going to get a **** of a lot worse, **** even Moyes has apparently come out and said it is unlikely Young will stop diving because it is part of his game. Don't get me wrong, even though Young is being singled out right now and I support that, I agree that blaming just one player won't help in the long run.
I don't think there is any need to single out anyone. If the referee's followed yesterdays example then there might actually be some progress. The problem is that far too many players are doing exactly what young did yesterday and referees are giving them the decisions with minimal backlash from fans/media.
